He'll be fine. Takes about 18-24mo before players feel "normal" again. But he'll be back playing 10-12mo.

We have never lost a game in regular time when we have had the Miazga/CCV centerback pairing. just a lesser known fact.

Seattle should make a play for Fernando Torres. Out of favor with his club and got an offer in China

As a Sounders fan, I'm sorry to hear about this, but I don't think this will have big implications for the NT. Best case scenario was that he was going to rebound this year and maybe end up in Europe somewhere after his contract expired. But 24 isn't exactly young for an attacking player. I think he'd missed his chance to make it in one of the top leagues. Maybe if he had left for Europe at the end of 2016 he might have caught that train.

Now I think he'll definitely be in the MLS for the rest of his career. He'll be out all season, and I think he'd struggle to find a European club that would sign him (out injured one season and a poor season in the MLS the year before). The smartest thing to do would be to re-sign with the Sounders, so that means he'd probably be in MLS at least until 27, at which point it'd be too late to make the leap across the pond.

It sucks, but that's soccer. And yeah I would love to see the Sounders make a play for Torres. But the Sounders also need more wide attacking depth.

Encouraged to see some strikers/ fwds in form. Based on current form who would you select:

1. Johannsson
2. Sapong
3. Altidore
4. Dempsey
5. Siebatcheu ( if he would even accept a call up)
6. Novakovich( personally I want to see him called up. I don't care if he plays in the second division in Holland.
7. Weah( he should be called up)

For me

Johannsson, Altidore, Weah, Novakovich, Siebatcheu if he accepts.

I like that Johannsson, Weah, and Siebatcheu all can play as wide fwds as well.

I just think there's no place for Altidore, Sapong, Dempsey any more. The program needs players that are hungry and pushing themselves to the highest level their ability will allow.

Agree, however, I wouldn't be surprised they call Dempsey so that he can get record.

I think altidore still has a role to play but I wouldn't call him. Dempsey is always an option, if for no other reason than his play is consistent and would allow for evaluation of others to be easier. He has great vision that won't change.

I do think there is a place for Altidore because quite frankly no other player has the experience he has at the international level at striker. By no means am I saying he is a starting 11 player every game because he isn't, but his experience is an asset.

My revised 24 man roster for this game. Brooks is still injured and Morris is out for a year.
Amon is currently injured as well.

GK: Bono, Hamid, Steffen

Defense: Yedlin, Chandler, Villafana, CCV, Miazga, Ream, Parker

CM: Adams, Williams, Mckennie, Parks, Corona, Trapp

Attackers: Altidore, Johannsson, Weah, Siebatcheu, Novakovich, Pulisic, Arriola, Zardes

I would add in for sure: Shaq Moore, Green, bummer on Amon wanted to see him

Subtractions:
1. Altidore, sure he is playing well but we need to put new players on the field-we know what Jozy brings and doesn't

2. Arriola Meh

3. Zardes no touch,

4. Corona talented but doesn't seem to fit into the nats but wouldn't mind him being called up
