A reminder of the last time we played Paraguay. John Brooks FTW.

Would love to see Brooks back to the level he showed during that tournament.

The old guys should've been sent off in the last cycle.
Send them off in a charity exhibition game not an intl friendly that could get some young players experience.
Jordan Morris is everything that's wrong with this system. He's mentally soft, technically underdeveloped, and over praised with no merit.
Telling me he's better than 2 guys who are top 5 scorers in 2nd divisions in Europe based on federation praise from yrs ago is insane.
I don't even know how he's rated higher than Boyd and Green.

Dude, this is a a game scheduled when we don't have a coach, when we aren't going to the WC, and in Cary, NC. This gane means nothing, and is intended to mean nothing. International friendlies at crappy venues are what sendoff games are for. Remember Donovan...?

I agree with Morris being mediocre. Hes like Dom Dwyer. Shouldnt be a starter, but has a place on the bench when we meed him. However, I absolutely disagree about the 2nd division comment. That's not to say that guys in 2nd divisions shouldn't get looks, but most 2nd divisions aren't any better than MLS, and in most times worse.

I would have to counter th 2nd division comment with these guys are playing to get to the 1st division or have been first division at some pt, mls games and trainings are being played with no pressure.

Also, quite a few of these 2nd division players are on loan from big clubs.

I've got LD coming in for a late game cameo to set up Deuce's record breaker.

Greetings from Cologne Germany

Please stop putting Roldan or Rowe on the roster. They suck. Morris has fallen down in the pecking (pecker) order. He needs to kiss his mommy goodbye, leave his dog at the pound, and get on the next flight to Germany

Fair point.

Pressure aside tho, the level of play is not the same. But like I said, that's not a knock against the guys themselves. There's plenty of guys in 2nd divisions who should be getting looks (Siebatcheu, Lichaj, Boyd, Robinson, I'd even go as far as to say Gyau in the 3rd division in Germany simply because he needs someone to give him a lifeline to get out like JK gave to Bobby Wood). But MLS top to bottom is better than any second division in Europe top to bottom.

Championship and 2 Bundesliga are fair leagues, guys playing in them shouldn't be overlooked compared to MLS guys. Any other 2nd division tho in Europe is trash. Siebatcheu is slightly different because he has Ligue 1 experience. But Ligue 2 blows.

Another factor is what is posted in the Palmer-Brown thread. The MLS may be better top to bottom from other leagues but if they aren't playing the young players than it is not.

You don't know how Morris is rated higher than two guys that aren't producing much at all for 2 teams at the ass-end of Bundesliga.2? Really?

What is Morris doing that is so great? If Boyd played in MLS I'm sure he'd have a more productive season than Morris. Morris is an okay player but he's not anywhere near the hype.

Morris won an MLS title in his rookie year while carrying the goal scoring load when Dempsey went out with heart problems. He scored 15 goals in that season. Funny how quickly people forget this. He had an injury plagued second season. I have a feeling Morris will have a very good third season.

Also Morris was the second highest goal scorer for the USMNT last year.

I would love to see Boyd hit those numbers. I would love to see what Boyd could do in MLS. What has Boyd done though in Europe?

I would love to see Green become the player he was hyped to be. But he hasn't yet and he is playing for a crap team in the Bundesliga 2 and his stats with said club don't back him up to say he deserves more over Morris.

On my end the argument is more about the lack of quality overall. I don't rate Boyd, Green or Morris. Morris doing well for the Sounders doesn't say much IMO. Wondo has torn MLS apart for however long now and he didn't contribute anything to the NT except the Belgium WC whiff.

All I'm saying is Morris needs to be abroad and kicking ass before i endorse him. I don't remember Germany winning the WC with 2. Bundesliga and MLS players.

The final stretch of the English league season is upon us, with several Americans on the verge of relegation with their teams.
