@2tone- I think Berhalter has already decided on his team. I think we all want to see more players but if Hoyos wants a call up he needs to move back to MLS.

If Hyndaman plays a part in the remaining PL games for Bournemouth should he make the roster. I'd say he's more technical and talented then say everyone in the senior pool besides Mckennie, Adams, and Bradley.

Hyndman has seen an unfortunate set of circumstances.

His move from Fulham to Bournemouth was a risk that just hasn't panned out. He has shown well on loan, but has gotten hurt at inopportune times. Hes too good for them to let go, but not good enough to start in a consistent role for a team that has been battling relegation since joining the league - primarily because they aren't appearing to take risks by giving shots to guys since they need to avoid losing.

Hes definitely talented... but he needs to get a permanent move away from Bournemouth, potentially to another league, and get consistent playing time.

I don't think your view of why he isn't getting minutes at Bournemouth is accurate.
Bournemouth hasn't been in danger of relegation since their first season in the Prem. They're now a solidly mid-table club, that has pretty good financial backing despite playing on the smallest grounds in the Prem.

I think he went a year or two too early to Bournemouth and he's had his injuries. But the soccer brain is there. I think a summer off finding the best possible club (maybe it's a full preseason with Bournemouth) situation and fit for Hyndman is what he needs. I can also see a move back to MLS for Hyndman as well.

When he joined in 2016, he got hurt and was out a bit. Got loaned to Rangers second half of that first season there. Did really well, then got hurt again at the end of his loan.

Bournemouth got Wilshire for 2017/2018 season, Wilshire got hurt, and they didnt want to let Hyndman go because it could have put them in a bad spot if he got injured again and was out a lengthy period. Sat the bench that season, where they finished 12th (bottom half), and had a couple small injuries that kept him out for short periods, then at the beginning of 2018/2019 they shipped him out again for the first half to Hibs.

Did well there, came back from loan, and hasn't been a priority since they are currently bottom half and have an established team. Bournemouth is 4 points away from Southampton (who has been battling relegation all season), which is below mid table.

As stated, it was a risk that just hasn't panned out. He has gotten hurt at inopportune moments, and hasn't been able to establish himself. Hes in a position where hes too good to let go, but not good enough to crack into a consistent spot. And when you're a bottom half team, you take less risks. One of those risks is playing younger, unproven players. Hyndman, all things considered, is unproven. Hes done well in the championship, done well in the Scottish premiership... but those are a far way from the Prem. Hes not very big and he would be playing against grown men who are very physical.

When you're a bottom half team, every game is a fight. It's not like Manchester United or Liverpool where you can throw in young players here and there against lesser teams to give them experience and develop them. Most of the guys on those lower table teams are usually older, more experienced guys (and note that experience doesnt mean skill or potential).

Maybe Pulisic will be a RB? Playing TEB for Dortmund today.

Yedlin just underwent groin surgery. Highly likely he won't play at the Gold Cup. So RB is Cannon, and likelyLima. And I hate to say it probably Adams.

Moving WK to RB would essentially place Roldan as the starting CM (8) for the Gold Cup. As 2tone referenced we're probably going to see Adams as the starting RB with either Lima or Cannon as the back-up. That insures that Bradley or Trapp get the starting 6 roll.

@stone88 - Dest isn't going to be called in at this point. 1) he's going to be with the U20 WC team. 2) Berhalter isn't going to bring in any new young players for the GC who haven't yet been in a camp. The one exception to this may be Holmes....but I see even that as a long shot at this point.

The only way this doesn't turn into an absolute nightmare is if Berhalter changes tactics and goes to a 3 CB formation with Wing-Backs. Than we could slot in a couple different players in at the RB position and keep a midfield spine of McKennie & Adams.
