If the USSF truly feels Greg can be an incompetent failure for 3 yrs and just happen to qualify and he'll be successful, then this organization is more dysfunctional and clueless than I thought.

The dude was just hired. I am giving him time to figure it out. Ultimately a coach should be judged by qualifying for the WC and how well his team plays at the WC. Even you have stated friendlies and the Gold Cup is meaningless. Now all of the sudden they matter?

I have not seen enough to form an opinion one way or another. Just some friendly matches with different players in each. When I see the A team vs an actual team in an actual match then I will be able to say if the team sucks or not. Can't say I am happy with how much love Berhalter has shown MLS. I like MLS and it has some good players in it, but Damn, even I can see the bias.

It's not that it's MLS but it's shit MLS players!

I'd rather go with the MLS players: Saief, Effrain Alvarez, Keaton Parks, Busio, Ricardo Pepi, shit even Diskeruud.

The current USMNT MLS posers can easily be replaced by the U20 players

There was an article in the last week where he stated he wanted a Mexico call up.

I should say wait about GB and be more reasonable but damn it seems we are going backwards. And there could be better selections from MLS even. But you look at Alvarez and he has options. Would you want to play for GB or Tito Martinez? Was that article after just dropped two friendlies to Venezuala and Jamaica?

As I stated in a previous post, anything less than 3rd is a disaster. If we finish 2nd then thats a success.

Mexico should win. We should not beat them. Costa Rica has a chance at topping us as well. Both are legitimately good squads and on the opposite side of the knockout bracket.

Depending on how the group and knockout stages play out, we have a favorable path to the final and would likely play Mexico or Costa Rica if we made it. If we make the final, we will likely play Mexico, and a 2nd place finish is acceptable. If we don't make the final and instead get to the 3rd place game, then we would likely play Costa Rica - and beating them to finish 3rd would be acceptable.

Anything less than 3rd is embarrassing. We should be happy to finish 2nd.

Man USA soccer is a such an embarrassing joke when it's biggest fanboys consider 3rd place in a regional tournament a success lol.
No wonder Greg can do whatever he wants, he has no accountability and no expectations.
You're telling me he can be more of a failure than Arena for a longer period of time and keep his job.
Why would anyone want to play for or pay to see this trash?

Do you have problems reading English?

I very clearly stated that 2nd is a success, 3rd would be acceptable, and anything less is an embarrassment. 3rd is not a success, but it doesn't rise to the level of complete failure that should cause outrage from fans.

If we finish 3rd, that means that we would likely have to beat Costa Rica or Mexico to finish in that spot. Considering the level of our current team, in all reality that isn't too bad...
