Sargent played for Werder in a friendly today against Dresden. He came on in the second half and had an assist.

Won't be surprised if he is put on the first team immediately when he turns 18.

BShred says he can't appear in the Bundisliga this year because he will have not been registered by the end of the transfer window. Good to see him assigned to the U-23's though. Excellent sign.

And just like that Bremen is moving him up train with the first team. He can't obviously play this year for the first team, but it's already a speedy progression for him.

Yep, I'm counting the minutes until he gets to combo with Puli with the nats.

I think we're looking at some special high end chemistry between those two. I hope to see that within the year.

The dude is going to integrate quickly on all fronts...Imo, he's pretty darn close to Pulisic level quality...they share the same mentality and vision.

I can only imagine how many goals he would have scored with the u20's at the WC if both Mckennie and Pulisic were on that team:

Good news. Sounds like he would be able to play with the first because he signed a pre contract

I think this guy is the best player yet. Even better than Pulisic. He is a real #9 like levandowski, Kane, higuain, etc. the type of player we've never had up top.

Sargent is more pure forward...a finisher. I think they're cut out of the same cloth though.

He kind of reminds of Robbie Keane. Puli is more dribble centric than LD, but the rest of game is eerily similar to LD's...been saying that for years...he's practically his doppelgänger.

Still way, way, way early, but I think we're on the road to something special...something similar to the Keane/LD chemistry. Two players, one high IQ soccer brain...both quick, technical with lethal finishing ability...on the same page at all times.

I can't wait to see Puli underneath Sargent...creating for each other, interchanging...combo passing...real excited by the talent coming in and possibilities for the nats.
