With PSG having a 4-0 half time lead would not be shocked to see another Weah appearance

Got a good amount of minutes today. If he were in MLS he'd be playing less, but then again MLS has more parity so there are less blowout games where you can play 18 year olds in the last 10-30 minutes of the game like PSG can in the French league.

Listen to him speak in the video and refer to himself as an American. No, he won't be switching to another NT.

I mean he'd be American either way... but I understand the point you're making.

He made the bench for today's match against Angers today but did not feature.

It probably didn't help his chances that PSG was playing with 10 men for most of the match.

Tweet from Weah:

"So much negativity in the air but I'm so proud to be representing my country ❤️😭....Through thick and thin #TheProcess US"

I hope no one still thinks he might play for another NT.

"The sky is the limit for me - I feel like I can do anything I put my mind to. Once I work hard, and that is my goal, to potentially be the first American Ballon d'Or winner."

- Tim Weah

I think he is being over-ambitious here. He wasn't all that impressive at the U-17 WC or in his adult club/nationalteam appearances....

He'll never become the first without wanting to become it... nothing wrong with ambitions and he should know from his father how much dedication and hard work it takes, he's not just saying he wants it and then will expect it to come to him.

I love his ambition. About time an American said these type of things. Mentality is everything is sports.

Looks like Cavani is leaving PSG. Will this open the door for Weah to see more minutes this season?

Tuchel is a good manager for Weah, who needs to better see the play and be more dynamic and combine with the other players. That aggressive pressing Tuchel style will play into Weahs hands if he can make good decisions on the ball. Athletically the kid can do anything. Weah moves well without the ball but it is on the ball where he needs to make plays for teammates and himself. If Weah can improve that, the sky is the limit for him. I see him getting plenty of league minutes to save the bigger players (Neymar, Mbappe) legs for the important CL games. @2tone- last year it seemed they gave backup striker minutes to Christoper Nkunku and put Weah more as an outside forward so I don't think Cavani leaving will mean too much in terms of minutes at striker. They'll sign a replacement there anyway if Cavani goes.

The final stretch of the English league season is upon us, with several Americans on the verge of relegation with their teams.
