NOOOOOOOOO Bradley, please let's start a kickstarter page to payoff US Soccer to not call in Bradley or Jozy or others. I don't want them passing on any culture/lessons/mentoring to them.

Ok navi, I'm good for that too. LOL. Notice, I never said anything about Jozy coming in to mentor.

He's a 23 yr old champs league caliber left winger that can play 1v1, cross, and finish lol.
How many champs league left wingers are in the pool?

That's like arguing that the PG from Holy Cross is an NCAA Tournament caliber guard, that can play 1v1 and shoot. He's not young and plays for a second tier (at best) European league. He wouldn't be on a Champs League roster but for playing in a weak league.

Maybe he can carve out a role for himself, but the Champs League argument is complete bunk.

I'd put money up on gent by multiple goals over any mls team without a second thought.

What do people see in Saeif? I saw many of his online highlight videos and I saw his brief cameo in the USMNT game, none of them were particularly impressive. He plays in the Belgian league, what is the big deal?

When you look at our wide midfield options we don't have a ton of options....

LM - Pulisic, Saief, Gooch, Green, Manneh, Zardes
RM - Pulisic, Arriola, Gooch, Wright(?), Zardes

Other than Pulisic there are no sure fire, top shelf, options. And if Pulisic is used in a CAM role than that's one less option. It doesn't matter what formation we play we are fairly weak/thin at all our wide position....Wide Midfield & Outside Backs....we lack quality as well as depth for these spots. That may change over the next couple years, but right now we have to make due with what we have.

Saief has had limited time to prove himself but I'll take someone who can keep the ball at his feet and attack opponents rather than a guy like bedoya who said he won't do stopovers or go at you.

Timothy Tillman can also play Left Wing. Read it on his transfer market data today

Which means precisely squat when evaluating individual players.

We should seriously sign a petition. I don't want to EVER see another player (under 30) who could be playing in a top league in Europe but chooses to play in MLS for the money suit up for the NT. Sure, I'm OK with young guys (like Adams) or the occasional hard-working scrub like Wondo, but when you have a player like Bradley or Altidore come home in the prime of their careers for the money, they should have to forfeit their spot on the USNT.

I just want the USMNT front office gone. Especially Sunil Galati. Dude can't even lift a soccer ball.

1. As I said, Klinsmann should've been released after the 2014 World Cup
2. As I said, Bruce Arena should've never been hired

The frustrating part about all this mess is we could've easliy qualified for the World Cup if we went with the younger guys in the final 4 matches. I do admit a lot of them weren't ready in the beginning of the year. Even calling in Miazga alone would've made us qualify.

What pisses me off the most is how Bradley and Altidore were always automatic starters. These guys have been on the USMNT since 2008, WTF its about to be 2018 ???

I agree with most of what is said here. Our young guns looked good against a good team, sure they didn't have all of thier started but I think we can all agree they are a good team.

we need to not care about results for the next year-and just take a realistic look at the young guns--

for the most part I agree re MLS, no player in their prime should be playing in MLS-I am ok with acosta or adams since they were not heavily favored to go overseas prior, however, now that they have shown somewhat consistent promise they need to get overseas-acosta soon and adams next year.

We do not need bradley or altidore or anyone over 28 coming into camp. With the exception of : Besler or Cameron for leadership.

This Gent team defeated Tottenham in the Uefa league knockout stage with Saief playing a key role. No one in MLS is making either of those teams.
Of course, everyone on that team is individually better than everyone in MLS. Anyone who's not an MLS homer would agree @cudevil

Seriously, if Saief was a great player, he'd be out of Belgium by now. He looked in his 20 minutes before getting hurt like a good player who could be of some help, probably off the bench.

Speaking of good but not great, anyone watch enough of the Mexican league to see how Alejandro Guido's looked at Tijuana? I see he's been getting more minutes lately.

This MLS homer bullshit has got to stop. So are you arguing that Saief is not good enough to start for the NT at 23 yrs old and playing in Belgium but 25 yr old MLS player Lleget is a better option? If Lleget was actually better he'd still be with West Ham or at least still in the Premier League. He clearly wasn't good enough and had to come back home. Like other have argued, i'd take Gent any day over any MLS team.

I'm far from an MLS homer, but the idea that no one in the MLS could play for Gent is patent nonsense.

lol who from mls has transferred within the last 3 yrs and played immediately in a Uefa tournament and played a key role on a team that beat a big club (top 4 in Eng, Ger, Spain, Italy) in a knockout stage?

Definitely disagree with the first sentence, he's on Gent, that's a good club. Saief also is a bench player for me btw, but that's because I got, what I feel, has a perfect lineup that includes all of our best players. I've got Jesse Gonzalez in goal, I've got Tyler Adams and Yedlin as fullbacks/wingbacks, I've got Carter-Vickers, Miazga, and Brooks as centerbacks, I've got Jonathan Gonzalez and McKennie as central midfielders, I've got Pulisic as the 10, and I've got Bobby Wood and Sargent up top. I find all 11 of these guys as our best 11 players, no matter position, and it works. Saief fits in as a #14-ish guy on the roster for me.
