I dunno, I was hoping for a Nation League combining North America and South America, our own region is too boring....

I agree. Seems beneficial from a Camp Cupcake standpoint to give MLS players international experience, but in our current situation it makes more sense to keep the core of young players that played against Portugal together as a U-23 team and try to schedule matches with European and South American teams.

What the hell is the point of having a Gold Cup now?

And if our friendlies (no longer friendlies) are going to be against CONCACAF now, then how many fewer games are we going to play against Euro/SAmerican teams, given its all about preparing for the World Cup (which is majority Euro/SAmerican)?

The USSF has failed us again.

USSF can't change this unless the Us breaks from Concacaf. Would Conmebol take the US in?

Couldn't USSF have said, "no, we're not going to be a part of it unless its with South America, we'd rather play better teams than a half assed unimportant nation league."

This simply leads to WORSE development for our players and team in the age group of 18-22.

Hopefully Conmebol and Concacaf come together to continue to do an all America cup.

I think it may all be pointless but unless they tried to convince Conmebol to change their qualifying this was always inevitable especially after Europe did the same thing.

Yeah...the Europe thing of nations put us into a bind. I'd like to hear that concacaf approached comnebol as well. Agree with everyone on that. Hell, African friendlies would be better.

Stupid that confederations are becoming more insular (and we're along for the ride).

The young soccer careers of Rubio Rubin and Brady Scott are headed in completely opposite directions.
