Damn bruh, I know it hurts but some times talking about it is the best therapy. I empathize with you and wanted to take that approach(ie. no longer watching soccer for awhile, definitely not watching the World Cup, etc...) but life goes on and we will be back. It is just a bump in the road, a huge bump but not a big enough one to take away from the overall game.

We have no one to blame but ourselves as a national team. But that is not a reason to panic, I believe this is the last of many players that no longer belong on the national team and an opportunity to bring fresh faces and new tactics into our program.

Be safe out there, do not be away too long.

Hate to see you go. I am pissed as well. I am not sure what makes me more upset: the roster selection the last couple of years, the lineups, the guaranteed spots, or the Freaking walking around the field when we need 1 point to go to the world cup.

However, I would encourage you to stay. I think in part what US soccer needs to know is there should be high accountability as JK was saying. US soccer needs to know there are many fans that love the team and the game. That we will not accept anymore the direction we were taken in. That we will not accept the status quo.

Change can only happen if we all continuously voice our opinion.

Stay around, keep speaking out!! Have a good night

admsghs27,

I enjoy the range of your posts, from creative observations to maniacal venom...unfiltered straight from the heart. It all comes from your passion for the sport....which we all share.

We're never winning a World Cup.

That doesn't hurt me.

We should always try, but I think at the end of the day. I just want to see the boys in our crest and colors play. And seeing the young guys gives us hope, of what exactly, who knows. Because I know things are changing. I know that type of feeling you had when Jones punched Portugal int he GUt, when we had Germany on the ropes, when Italy was scared they lost points to us with 1 man advantage.. THAT feeling is what makes me watch the US.

But I know things are changing, we're going to develop more Pulisic and soon we're not going to be outright underdogs. But we are also not going to win every game. And probably not tournaments outside of Gold Cup. Not because we won't be good enough, but because that's an incredibly steep hill. And it requires an honest look at our landscape. And truthfully like Arena said, "we couldn't even buy you guys coffee in 1998"

You don't understand what that means. The capitalists did something what NOONE thought was possible. They turned USA into a soccer nation. My dad cries when he sees Redbull Arena, he sees Seatle's 40k strong every game and is absolutely estatic about Atlatna's 70k a game. He NEVER thought itw as ever going to happen. Well boys and girls, it's here. But to be the greatest soccer nation is something that not even they can deliver. Because just like the Arnold's bakery that's made with Riboflavin, yes they got that product out quick, yes it's incredible profit margin, yes it's incredibly accessible, yes you have high volume production

It will never beat the mom and pop bakery for quality.

Klinsmann's parents were bakers.

Unfortunately Klinsmann was also the manager who was an attacker with very limited ideas on how to translate proper tactics in defense and midfield. (we got shot on ALOT... ask Howard and Guzan).

And he was our "savior". It's a bittersweet reality for us, but you have to embrace the bitterness. Well I mean you don't HAVE to. That's for the realm of the irrational supporter, the fanatic.

Think about the Miazga's that we COULD have if they were afford more opportunities (rem Miazga is a local kid, NJ NYC)

This is getting real, guys. This is starting to hurt our commodity, quality of soccer, and in direct opposition to what the USSF SHOULD stand for. This isn't cool.

The young soccer careers of Rubio Rubin and Brady Scott are headed in completely opposite directions.
