Really impressed with McKennie, Acosta, and Adams!! That midfield is a ball winning dream. Williams too.

Tough mistake by Horvath no question.
However that was a very encouraging first half. McKennie and Adams have really impressed. Great goal on his debut too!

Bruce Arena should have integrated these players. To keep on doing the same thing and expecting a different result is ridiculous. Should have brought in Adams , Miazga, McKennie, in the qualifiers.

I loved the play in the first half. Damn Acosta!!! Get your head up, you had some on the right instead of blasting a ball to the moon. Portugal looked like they woke up and it looked like we got tired and reverted back to our pass backwards in the last ten minutes. Overall though, good half. Poor Horvath, looked really shaky after giving up that howler. It will be interesting to see who starts the second half.

Sarachan should have brought in a couple true wingers: Gyau, Wright.

No thanks on Gooch.
I thought it took him a minute to get up to speed, but afterwards was pretty good. Roasted guys on each flank and was very unlucky not to get an assist.

Fair enough, but I just don't think he is better than other wide options we have.

With that speed he is a guy off the bench to attack tired legs. Thought he had a nice apparence with his speed and physicality, Portugal had difficulty with him.
Overall you could tell both squads were young, while Portugal had more vets out there. I thought they were not scared of the situation and played well, could have won if not for a howler and a few good saves. Well played out there.

By the way, how retarded was it for Bruce to be on fox analyzing the US National Team!

Bruce is such a tool. He should banned from US Soccer for life for his incompetence. This fool said there's nothing wrong with the system and no good players are slipping through the cracks.
Bruce never admitted to the need to expand his pool, hold has fanboys accountable, or bring in young players. He's delusional.
