Interesting, but I am still very concerned. I think we will see the B team, but I think it will be the B team irrespective of age (essentially like the initial Gold Cup roster), so we might see pointless old players like Matt Hedges and Eric Lichaj, people who have no chance of going to next WC.

Vanney reported on twitter that Bradley and Altidore are not being called up. Any midfield without Bradley is interesting to me. McKennie and Adams? Gonzalez maybe? I'd hope Danny Williams is called too.

I do not mind a Williams call up, but we habe enough depth at midfield where he is bench player. I see him as that guy who can come in late to kill off a game or be an enforcer if it gets chippy out there. I see him as a more talented Beckermann.

To me the USMNT missed that type of player as much as anything in qualifying. Not saying Beckermann should have been called up, his time has passed. But 4 years ago Klinnsman could call in Gordon, Evans, and Beckermann to deal with a team who would bite, push, or other things. They had no problem being an intimidator out there. We just do not have that player right now who can at least go out be respectable playing soccer, but not take the CONCACAFF crap without some sort of payback.

Midfield could be interesting with non MLSrs Mckennie, Stanko, Gonzalez, Williams, Diskerud, and Hyndmann (I would add Scott but he is behind all the others) and MLSrs Nagbe, Adams, Acosta and I will throw Durkin in there too.

No Jozy really leaves the door open for a senior debut for Sargent or Weah or maybe Tall.

I am hearing that Tim Ream will be called. Tim Ream will be ~35 years old in 2022 World Cup........so that serves what purpose?

Well, aside from the fact that this will likely be a Euro heavy roster and we don't have THAT many guys in Europe that are playing regularly, you'll still need some veteran presence. Moreover, just because he won't be a factor in 2022, doesn't mean he couldn't play a key role in meaningful games between now and then.

Yawn

This is why US Soccer is dysfunctional !! Where's the roster ?

All the other teams always have their shit out long before US Soccer ever does...

If I see Altidore or Bradley on the roster, I'm not watching the game.

Looks like Romain Gall is making a steady come back to his playing career in Sweden. Might be a name to watch out for in the coming years. Looks to be playing as a winger.

Lame that Pulisic isn't getting called up. I get this is considered a meaningless game. To be honest I won't even be watching this game due to it being played in the middle of the day.
