Hasn't been a great showing in the second half. Virtually zero possession.

My bad the US still leads the group on goal difference.

Sargent isn't having a good tournament, but I blame more the lack of service to him from our wide players.

If Weah had been able to finish that, we'd be in 2nd

I I'll say it again. Just because you start a cycle with players doesn't mean you end the cycle with the same players. A coach should be actively looking to displace starting 11 players with better talent. The US coaches allows complacency because they treat the players as entitled to the starting 11 like an elitest youth traveling club team.

Shouldn't have. It opened up a huge space for him. Put it low and hard back to his right and it was an easy goal.

Two collapse in one week, this is unreal. I know this doesn't knock us out but it's another blemish on a system that obviously does not need any change

Done. Cant watch this crap anymore. What a complacent national team we have at all levels. Colombia has been mediocre at best and we make them look world class. Were going nowhere if Sargent cant get the ball.

PS - R16 as far this team will go. Finishing 3rd gives us a heavyweight so were done. Bunch of overrated kids.

These kids are 17. I'm not sure you can use anything about this performance as a basis for needing change.

Yes you can. The top footballing nations actively look to replace players throughout youth WC cycles. The US for years start and finish with the same group of players in youth WC cycles.

So which kids should have been replaced? Who is sitting at home (and available) to play and that should be on the squad? And what are you basing the notion on that other set ups are actively looking to replace players?
