For what it's worth MLS says that NYRB were playing a flat 5-4-1 with Adams on the right side of the back five...

Yeah but NYRB did a double substitution, and then Adams scored from a very not RWB place, so I'm guessing that they moved him to a #8 in a 3-4-3 diamond, sinche NYRB do that sometimes.

Here we go. It's time.

Here is my checklist:

1. Sunil Gulati resigns
2. Bruce Arena is fired.
3. Get a proper president.
4. Get a manager like the ones discussed in "Manager Wish List 2018"
5. No more calling up the old guys and liabilities. The main names in this list are as follows: Tim Howard, Nick Rimando, (Brad Guzan idk, but he should stay backup, Horvath and Gonzalez immediately above him), Omar Gonzalez, DaMarcus Beasley, Graham Zusi (kinda hurts as a SKC fan, but USMNT over SKC even for me), Alejandro Bedoya, Clint Dempsey after his next goal, CHRIS WONDOLOWSKI, and he's basically already done by now it seems, but Jermaine Jones.
6. Take the captain's armband off of Michael Bradley ( put it on either Christian Pulisic or John Brooks) and bench him atleast. Starting midfield could be Hyndman-McKennie and attacking midfield of Pulisic even, idk.
7. Immediately put Jozy Altidore 5th at the CF position in the depth chart behind Bobby Wood, Dom Dwyer, Jordan Morris, and Josh Sargent.
8. Immediately start building for the future. Horvath, Gonzalez, Miazga, CCV, EPB, Saief, Gooch, Sargent, Hyndman, T.Adams, B.Lennon, Carleton, Weah, McKennie, and more all involved and being regulars.

This is how we can turn this tragedy into the start of something great and something we truly needed.

^ Curious why you don't want to see Morris? He was one of the few players that really made the most out of his opportunities in 2017.

It had to be said. Nearly the entire player pool needs to be turned over. The only players from the current pool regulars I'd want to be included in November's friendlies are....
Brooks, Yedlin, Pulisic, Wood, & Morris. Everyone else should be left off the squad for at least 1 yr....and should have to earn their way back into consideration.

I am basically assuming that in November, I'll be tearing up my fan card that was issued in 1989.

To not tear it up, three things have to happen:
1) Gulati out
2) Arena out
3) Massive turnover in the player pool.

Otherwise, seriously, fuck it.

Copa America 2020 becomes a necessity. I understand that this isn't a USSF decision but USSF has to rally their counterparts and make it happen. This is critical for the 2022 cycle as we have lost the chance to bleed in a few youngsters at the 2018 WC. Also as a fanbase, we need this.

So many things to get off my chest:

1) I cried (not tears, but it was moist)
2) When they said "I see Wondo might come in potentially too" I knew it was over.
3) I have been saying all along _____XXXXXXX @*(#&#(@&#(@*(@*(@, so I am not going to repeat it all again.
4) The next tournament is Summer of 2019 folks......yup. Just friendlies for another 2 years. Yep. Next World Cup is in 5 years! THEREFORE. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO REASON TO CALL ANYONE WHO IS CURRENTLY 28 years old or older. That means MICHAEL BRADLEY RIP, HOWARD RIP, GUZAN RIP, DEMPSEY RIP, OMAR F'IN GONZALEZ RIP, MATT BESLER RIP, GEOFF CAMERON RIP, GRAHAM ZUSI RIP, BEASLEY RIP, VILLAFANA RIP, JOZY ALTIDORE RIP (hes 27 but fuck him), DARLINGTON NAGBE RIP (hes 27 but fuck him).

All callups for November friendlies and 2018 friendlies are to be players between 17 years old and 27 years old. NONE of the above players should ever be called up ever again! All retired. ALLLLLL. RETIREDDDDD.

Agreed, this is beyond crucial at this point. Realistically Gulati doesn't resign, he just doesn't run for reelection. He could save a minute amount of face by pulling every string he can to get us in Copa America. Theoretically if all the proper changes are made and plan implemented, it would be a good measuring stick for how things are progressing

Anyone who says Dempsey shouldn't be called in anymore, when he only needs one goal...and the games don't really mean anything...can suck a fat one. Dude has given so much for the shirt and deserves to be called in until he breaks the record.
