As remote as it may seem to some, with the way we're currently playing there is a possibility that we may be starting a new cycle sooner rather than later. IMO there will be a huge turn over of the player pool as soon as this cycle ends. I thought it would be interesting to take a look at what our options might be after 2018....

Keeper: Hamid, Horvath, Steffen, Gonzalez, Klinsmann
Center Back: Brooks, Miazga, CCV, EPB, Glad, Zimmerman,
Right Back: Yedlin, Olosunde, Fossey,
Left Back: Farfan, Acosta, Robinson,
CDM: J. Gonzalez, Acosta, McKennie, Roldan, Adams, Jones, Canouse
CM: Hyndman, Lletget, Nagbe, De La Torre, Zelalem
AM: Pulisic, Scott, Akale
RM: Arriola, Gooch, , Wright, Carleton, Lennon
LM: Green, Saief, Manneh, Perez,
Forward: Jozy, Wood, Sargent, Morris, Weah,

Seems like you have about everyone, but I would throw Nick Taitague in the mix. He could be closer than we think. Seems like he's doing good stuff with their U-19's.

I thought Wright was mostly playing as a 9. I haven't heard much on Josh Perez since he went out on loan.

Hope Hyndman gets an opportunity soon. He should. Howe seems to like him and Bournemouth needs something.

Hyndman has been putting on physique.

He was pretty deft before. Hopefully he maintains his agility while incorporating sturdiness. I really like his game.

Should help Hyndman's ability to hold the ball under pressure and his defensive game somewhat.

Speaking of Physique, it might be good for McKennie to lose weight.

Maybe McKennie has Marshall Faulk muscle definition. I hope he has his agility and moves.

I doubt we'll be talking about this in about a year. That baby fat will come off.

I suppose if it plagues him it'll be due to having a wacky metabolism, and not lack of commitment.

Last night's NYRB vs DC United highlights are well worth a watch. Tyler Adams had two goals and a really good cross.

skangles, was Adams really playing RB? Goal 1 looks like it could be from a RB, but goal 2 looks like your 6 or 8 is typically going to score that.

I didn't watch the game, only the highlights and I just deleted the game from my DVR.

For what it's worth MLS says that NYRB were playing a flat 5-4-1 with Adams on the right side of the back five...

I really wish George Bello would have made the U17 World Cup roster. The Top Drawer Soccer Show has been talking him up and I'm so desperate for a quality LB prospect that I'm putting an unreasonable amount of hope in a 15 year old.

His highlights are impressive but they are also merely highlight videos. I was hoping to get a chance to see him in action.

As soon as he sees 1st team minutes with Schalke or is loaned out to another club for minutes...than I'll consider him. Everyone else on the list has at least made the bench for their clubs 1st teams, or are at positions of need (outside back) where I'm stretching a bit.

Haven't heard of him. Who's he playing for and what position?

There are bound to be other strikers that emerge during the cycle, but for the immediate future Jozy will remain a staple of the team when healthy. It'll be up to the youngsters to push him out of consideration by 2022.
