This is my projection:

GK: Hamid, Guzan, Howard

Defense: Yedlin, Chandler, Fabian, Villafana, Cameron, Miazga, Gonzo, Besler

Midfield: Bradley, Acosta, Gonzales, McCarty, Williams, Mckennie, Nagbe

Attackers: Pulisic, Altidore, Dempsey, Dwyer, Arriola, Wood, Manneh

The team needs some speed and grit. Manneh and Arriola fit the speed category and Dwyer will provide that grit if need be. Might as well start integrating Mckinnie and Gonzales now! So what if Bedoya is dumped it's not like he has a future going forward.

Time to bring Chandler back he can play both RB and LB and he is better than Lichaj and Zusi.

Fabian is needed at LB.

I like it for the most part. If I remember correctly Arena hasn't seen Chandler in any camp so it is unlikely he will call him, so we are probably stuck with Zusi again.

Keeper it is time to try something different and bring in Horvath or Gonzalez.

Midfield I have never been a big McCarty fan. I would rather see Tyler Adams as he can play multiple positions

@2tone - Remember that Cameron has been sidelined with an injury. If he doesn't get back into the game-day 18 this weekend it's likely he'll be left off the squad. If he's not available expect to see Hedges called up again.
I like/agree with your midfield selections (except McCarty), but seriously doubt if Arena calls both McKennie & Gonzalez into a camp ahead of must win qualifiers.
Not sure if Manneh has received approval from FIFA yet. I know he's a citizen now, but he couldn't play in the January games due to FIFA still making a determination. I'm not against his inclusion...but if he's not cleared yet than I'd bring in Gooch or Green. But we'll probably see Bedoya....or maybe Rowe (did well in the Gold Cup).

No way Manneh comes into his first camp, in these must win games. Also highly doubt Gonzales is brought in too.

Other than Yedlin coming back and maybe Chandler I dont think we see many if any changes elsewhere from the Sept games

@2tone, to be clear, you are predicting what you think Arena will do, right?

Or is this the Coach 2tone list?

I dont know what Arena will do but Chandler has to be on this roster. Im fine with him not starting because Yedlin might get consistent playing time now that he's fit with Newcastle. But he was solid in the Frankfurt- Koln game.

Like I said in the September thread... Love Zusi but we cant keep throwing him out there hoping for different results.

Other than that I dont expect many changes.

Always my list. I know Bruce won't bring some of those guys.

I think the confusion is that the phrase 'projected roster' (e.g. an article called Projected 2018 World Cup Roster) in the media is used to predict a roster.

It's not used for a pundit's preferred roster.

This is scary to think, but in all earnest.. and What Matt Doyle doesn't understand. If we don't qualify for the World Cup, the future will be today. ... Well, the day after the day we don't qualify that is... THAT day will be the today day.

The flank positions should be left to our forwards.

Pulisic and Arriola.. or someone like Manneh. I'm goign to assume that 2 tone likes the 4 2 1 3 or 4 3 3 formations.

Panama is going to come with an all out brutal kick fest. This will test our resolve. I don't think Bruce turns to new players at all, and that is worrisome.

Truth be told he's in a tough spot. You almost have to go with what we have and hope for the best.

Turning to McKennie, MIazga etc as much as we "know" they're the better players represents waaaayyy to much uncertainty. I woul dargue we shoul dhave hammered that out by now, but we did not. JK was guilty of that as well come WC time.
