Palmer brown dmid with carter vickers and brooks at cb is my dream assuming they develop.

You would put EPB over Adams at DM? Nah. My dream is Richards with Brooks. I'm not on the CCV hype anymore. Good player and hopefully will be a USMNT player, but what I have see from Richards.... way more talent.

Adams is going to be a champions league DM this up coming season. EPB has barely played that position and is still finding his feet as a CB in Europe.

You could put Palmer Brown at Ream's LB/LCB role and only take a step forward. That's if we keep the same shape/system. Regardless, he can play in space (I mean defensively here) and besides Aaron Long - I think all our CBs struggle with that, including Brooks. We have a bunch of guys in the mold of Gonzalez defensively, only better, in Brooks, Zimmerman and Miazga. Only Long for me really has sound angles and positioning and defensive quickness. Unless the three guys I just mentioned are tight man marking a guy, they struggle rotating over in space and/or they can get their hips turned by the attacker and it's over with. Palmer Brown excels in those areas the others struggle with. I swear if someone yells he doesn't play enough I'm gonna freak out. Now that we've lost the Gold Cup we are again in full rebuild mode.... right??

In a pinch a 4-3-3 with a midfield of Adams EPB and McKennie would be solid against top quality opponents.

i actually think I'd rather have weston and tyler as our attacking mids with pulisic on the wing. IF EPB can play cdm. if not push adams back to cdm and i think pomykal slides into the attacking midfield spot, so we can get our best players on the field. they key is to find a way to create a formation and system to get our most talented bunch on the field. not to force the players to adapt to your system, but create a system for what you have. But by no means was i knocking adams

i think Weston and Tyler should be back further personally. Not that you mean it, but it seems that would harkening back to the Jürgen days with 4 CMs out there in Bedoya, Bradley, Jones and Beckerman. There's no need to cram up the field with a bunch of defensive types. Where would a Ledezma or Mendez type fit in? Or Tim Weah?

think as we move forward players like Pomykal, McKennie and Adams and a few others will all be battling for one or two spots. And that's good competition.

Palmer-Brown needs to continue the evolution of our squad and push out another defensive only type player (Miazga, CCV, Z-Man, Omar!?) out of the starting XI. Palmer-Brown can play the ball and move forward from a CB spot which means more athletic players on the field in the back line where currently Long stands out as the only real athlete.
