-Jesse Gonzalez (It is his time, he is the one with the highest potential of all our GKs in the foreseeable future)
-Zack Steffen (Great in 2015 U20 World Cup, great for Columbus Crew, Hamid and Horvath dealing with European GK battles, MLS will have been done by nearly 2 months by now, easy backup choice)
-Any of the following three guys: Cody Cropper, Sean Johnson, Tim Melia
Fullbacks:
-I knew I'd have trouble with this. Indeed, I have. Most fullbacks are either European or one I am done with.
-Personally, I'm in the "Play Tyler Adams at left back" camp, but him just in front of Yedlin worked beautifully I feel. This isn't the same team, though; no Yedlin, no McKennie, no Danny Williams. I'd play Tyler at fullback here, but I'm obviously fine with him at midfield too.
-I guess we say Polster, Danny Acosta, and Redding? That good? Greg Garza too maybe?
Centerbacks:
-I guess I am in a position to pick a part of the old guard here. Welcome back, Matt Besler.
-Guess we should include Walker Zimmerman and Justen Glad.
-Not sure about a 4th CB
Midfielders:
-This is the best position for the side, I'd say.
-You've got two Europe-worthy MLSers who should be in Europe in the next year or two in Tyler Adams and Kellyn Acosta.
-Paul Arriola and Kelyn Rowe are also musts.
-Others: Cristian Roldan, Kektua Manneh, and let's introduce another U20 to the side, Derrick Jones.
Forwards:
-CJ Sapong looked great against Portugal, he won himself a spot onto the January Camp.
-Clint Dempsey gets another chance to just get the record already and then can retire.
-Jordan Morris, somewhat self-explanatory I guess.

Fullbacks. Rosenberry, Polster, Morrow, Vincent Andrew Farrell are all guys who should get a look.
At Centerback Tim Parker is a good fourth option
Midfield I would add Canousse to this list
Forward Christian Ramirez is a good name to add.

Fair enough on some of these names.

Roster (in order for depth chart):
Also, forget the in order part, was thinking that when doing GKs, but suddenly just started stating my mind rather than making some list, I don't have Sapong ahead of Morris lol

wouldnt be crazy if you did. Sapong led all eligible US forwards WORLDWIDE in goals this year. meanwhile, Morris has been on the couch with his dig for much of the year...and when he was playing he wasnt doing much.

What I'd like to see from Camp Cup Cake Vs. what I think we'll get are two totally different thing. The players I hope will be called in are: 30 players: Keeper: Gonzalez, Steffen, Bono, Johnson/Cropper Outside Back: Vincent, D. Acosta, Lima, Polster Farrell Center Back: Besler, Zimmerman, Glad, Redding, Birnbaum Center Mid: Lletget, K. Acosta, Adams, Jones, Roldan, Canouse, Wide Mid: Arriola, Manneh, Lewis, Rowe, Allen, Forward: Morris, Dwyer, Vazquez, Lennon, Ebobisse
A couple dark horse names who could be included if certain things play out...Traded/Loaned to MLS: Hyndmann, ArJo, Alverado, Boyd.
Unfortunately I fully expect a higher number of the "Veterans" to be given time before the youth. I'm almost resigned to seeing: Guzan, Howard, Rimando, Beasler, Hedges, Bradley, Bedoya, Zusi, Jozy, Wondo, etc....

I like it. Btw, Lennon is probably not gonna be here, he's returning back to Liverpool at the end of the year.

Just to get a feel for things and exposure as to how the USMNT operates I'd invite Chris Durkin.

I like Durkin, but he's not ready yet. If he were a player at a position of need (Striker, LB, etc...)I could see his inclusion. However he plays a position where we have any number of players who are more experienced/prepared. Give the kid a chance to be a professional player before trying to raise him to the international level.

I am not saying give him match time, what I am saying is invite him to camp to work out. Give him a little more exposure to what being a professional is all about. He would have turned a few heads in Europe with his performances in the U-17 WC, so why not jumpstart his training a bit more so if he moves overseas the transition will be smoother.
Besides this, we don't want the newbies to get complacent...remind them there is always someone coming behind them so they must work hard.

Yeah, training only is totally fair here for Camp Cupcake.
Attackers: Morris, Sapong, Dwyer, Agudelo, Lennon, Ramirez, Lewis
I hope Sarachan continues to leave Bradley, Altidore, Besler etc... at home.
I would have added Manneh but he is off to Pachuca.
I also think Sargent will be off to Germany. I have a feeling Bremen will want him at least training as soon as possible.
Not really seeing the point of bringing 5 keepers, just not sure who gets left home.
Not a fan of Morrow, but he does play a position of need, and I'm not sure of another LB option other than Farfan (but he hasn't seen many minutes in Portland).
I hate the inclusion of Bedoya, but can understand the desire to have a Veteran around to help instruct players during the camp. Not a fan of Trapp either, would add Rowe as an alternative.
I don't care for Sapong, and I don't understand the recent love fest for Ramirez. I just don't see either providing anything to the team. You've also left Arriola off your list....While I'm not a huge fan, he is one of the better attacking options in MLS.

The guys I mainly want to see:
Steffen
Lima and Glad
Adams, Lletget (hopefully) and Roldan
Sargent
Imo, Lima has a higher ceiling and better pace than the other potential flank back options for this camp... good 1v1 defender, true international pace and very comfortable with the ball up field. He can play either side. I have very high hopes for Lima.
Really hope we get to see Sargent...the sooner the better.

The reason for 5 GK is because the #1 spot is up for grabs.
Sapphire nag showed pretty well against Portugal and should continue to get looks. And Ramirez deserves a call up to see if he has international quality about him. Quite frankly Striker is still an area of concern.
