Has just signed on loan for Bolton in the Championship... first move for the kid let's see what he's got and if he can get on the field and prove something. Everyone thinks he has some game, and LB is always a problem position for USA. Baby steps.

Is he a natural lefty or a righty playing LB?

Lefty. He's definitely an @blaise type of player from what I hear. Bolton worked out for Holden and Ream maybe we get third time lucky. I thought he was unlucky to not make the u20 World Cup squad to be honest- was definitely in the mix.

I call this dude up for the next friendly... I've said it before in the past. Villafana is gonna cost us in big game when he gets red carded for pulling down an opponent by the jersey.

How about we let the kid get a few games before we make that call. I know the next set of friendlies are November, and he can probe to be good enough for a call up but let's get to that point first.

Seems to be a regular now for Bolton. With his loan coming up in January wonder if Everton wants him back, or keep him playing Bolton's relegation fight. He has been getting rave reviews from Bolton and would have to assume they would love to keep him around through the end of the season.
When I asked why he was not brought in for the November friendlies the answer was lack of playing time when preliminary roster was due. But had he been playing for Bolton he would have been called in. A natural left footed Left Back, how long have we been begging for that?

Robinson will be the USMNT starting LB. March friendly date I would expect to see him called up.

Robinson has played a lot of games in a row and Bolton has played well in that period. Similar to Yedlin earning his stripes for Newcastle, the fact Robinson is doing well in a relegation battle that will go on all season is good for his development. He should make evertons first team next year and is still improving.

His loan only runs until January. Strong possibility Everton don't loan him back out to Bolton.

Perhaps, but there are alot of factors that go into that. First off, for as bad as Everton have been this year, their U-23 team is second in the PL2 standings, so they have some quality there.
Socond, and a lot more important, they will presumably have a new manager by the time his loan ends.
IMO, he would do better to extend his loan if he can and stay and play for Bolton the rest of the year.

Another solid outing and is probably the pencil him left back at Bolton right now. His statistics looked strong. I would expect him to be starting left back in March friendlies.
Man of the match performance against CCV and Sheffield today. While CCV got the 31 minute substitution, Robinson apparently owned Sheffield.

Played 180 min in 48 hours. I think he is now our starting left back. Will be interesting to see what Everton does with him. Keep him in the pressure of the regulation battle, or let him fight for FA minutes with them.

Just read he might get a loan extension. Was hoping to see him get called back to Everton.
I'm going to the Everton vs Crystal palace match on Feb 10 in jolly old England
