Adjustments caused because of injuries is understandable, but there were fewer examples of this happening than many would expect (Adams, Robinson, Holmes, Weah).
However, clubs not releasing players for "Nations League etc..." is not a viable justification since those games were on FIFA Dates and clubs are required to release players. These snubs were 100% on Gregg & USSF.
There was ample evidence of the talent/abilities of the Young European players through club game footage & the years worth of USMNT Games that Dave S. coached. The fact that Gregg continued to call-up the exact same players time after time even after many of them proved that they were unable to compete in CONCACAF competitions. That is on Gregg's faulty logic and player selection.

you are correct that clubs are required to release players on FIFA dates. However, in the case of young players, often taking them away from their club teams for what euro coach's consider "non-important" games hurts the young players chances of integrating into the first team. If Greg has chosen to not harm that players chances of getting first team minutes then it is understandable why he would leave them off a roster. This is why so many of these younger players were going to get called into the euro friendlies that were cancelled, the travel and time away is much less and their club coach's don't feel it is as big of a distraction.

I know that Robinson specifically asked to stay with his club team, 2 years of injury he needed to prove himself. That being said, there should be nothing holding GB from calling up all the first team guys now. Which is why I am expecting it. I really hope he doesn't let me down. I swear if I see Roldan starting I might defect.

Also, consider Shaq Moore's situation. He wasn't getting paid by his club for a bit. That affected him and his club. A club in financial distress may put pressure on player not to travel. These are the things we don't know about. We do know it is easier to travel on a domestic flight and it is most likely more easy to coordinate with domestic league teams based on many factors, time difference being the first one that I consider.
