Really bummed Rowe is leaving...need to see his game against higher level comp in the knock out rounds.

This roster and the last one were expiremental rosters trying to identify guys who could step up. I'm not sweating the results.

I hope that El Salvador beats Jamaica tonight so that we can get our Gold Cup revenge against Jamaica in the Quarterfinals.

Anything other than winning the Gold Cup will be a disaster. Bruce has now brought in five first team players while Mexico has stayed pat with their experimental roster. Sure Costa Rica has some talented players but if we can't beat them or Mexico's B- team at home with the core of our first team then we are in deep trouble.

It's Gold Cup champions or bust now.

I think it's because Rowe's not enough of a 2 way player, his defense is underwhelming. To that I say, Bruce, your team's offense as a whole has been underwhelming, and now you have taken out 2 of the most effective tools in your offense this tourney.

You're probably right as to what Bruce is thinking. I disagree with Bruce's decision but I can't come up with a better explanation that what you've suggested. I will say that Zusi has also shown that he's not a good enough 2-way player and the dude is a RB. Puzzling roster decisions from Bruce.

Yeah and Costa Rica also lost 3 key player's to injury. We shouldn't just be favorites but Huge favorites to win it. According to online betting sites we are pretty big favorites to Win It. So yes Anything Less will be a disaster.

Curacao should of easily been up by 3 goals at least. Mexico been very lucky.. I don't see this Mexico team making the final although they got the easiest road

Glad we play El Salvador but it will be a very tough game. As for the game being in Philly Not sure who will have home field can be 50/50 but who knows after we got outnumbered 80/20 in Baltimore Maryland last time we played which is not that far away where the Largest Salvadorean population lives in USA. My prediction USA wins 3-1 in a tough game no matter who we have on the field.

That game in Baltimore that you referenced is the game that produced this magical moment.

Ha, completely forgot about that. Just another reason to love that 2013 Gold Cup team.

That AR is just so urgently trying to stop him from putting sunglassess on.....
Why.
What happens if a player who's about to take a corner puts on sunglasses for a second? Is there a rip in the space-time continuum?? Does he not get paid?

This drove me crazy on the day, and the gif just makes it worse.

@mmee- come on dude. There's a game being played, what's the point of the sunglasses?

That was a fun team with fun players. It was so fluid, the team has taken such a step backwards since the combination play of Donovan, Holden, Bradley and co. Arena is not and won't be a fun coach, hopefully he brings a result....

Hopefully we keep Besler and Miazga. I'm sure it will be Omar, but that will stress the back line.

I predict a Deuce brace against El Salvador to break Donovan's record.
