Honestly, I just plain feel for Pontius, and I blame the coaching staff for putting him through this.

Can't the guy just have a pretty good MLS career without being made to look bad?
Poor sonofabitch.

As for CB depth chart:

Brooks Cameron
?Spector Miazga

That 2nd LCB spot could be like 5 people. No one's really made a case for himself.

Glad we won, but this team will be destroyed by jamaica, mexico or costa rica.

I liked the Besler Miazga combo. Two center backs that can pass the ball out the back looked capable of defending. Even if its Nicaragua this team is grasping at straws right now

None of those teams have looked all that great either.

Miazga's recovery speed is a big deal for me. I hope we stick with Miazga/Besler all the way through. Hopefully he shines and moves past the other RCBs not named Cameron...if he can get that close post GC, we can dream of Cameron at Dmid.

This Group stage was a tryout for a bunch of fringe players and the fringiest fringe player Kellyn Rowe is the only guy that grabbed the opportunity. I don't know what will happen over the next year in the lead up to Russia but Kellyn Rowe should absolutely pack his bags for Harrison in September.

The other option is to keep Cameron at RCB and play Miazga at DM. If Cam & Miazga are our two RCBs in Russia it gives Bruce a lot of options.
