Im not white but you can cry on bruce's shoulder!

I'm not taking the bait on that, ya turdburger. You have plenty of history of racist shit on here. I don't care what race you are. I hope you check 'other' in the race section on the form and then write in 'internet bouncer'.

I'd rather see Arriola or Morris instead of Fab right now.

I realize Arena is trying to possibly save a couple guys for Honduras, but Ream starting made me queasy. CR was a game we really needed...should have pulled out all the stops.

The weird thing was we never seemed to be physically engaged in the game...which was pretty much a must win at home. We never responded at all to them taking liberties with Pulisic...no hard clean tackles or message fouls... Arena is probably peeling the paint off the walls right now. Really the last thing I'd expect from one of his teams...going down meekly without fight. If anything positive comes out of this, it might be it allows to make a couple hard decisions on a couple guys who might not be up for the fight.

The USMNT will qualify but there needs to be somebody personnel change going to the WC. I wouldn't be surprised to see young options emerge: McKennie, Adams( who has been stellar at RB for the Red Bull's) Wright, Farfan LB, Vincent Lb, etc.....

The right back for Honduras was just ejected. He missed the next game.

We played good.. 2/errors they made us pay. Navas keeps being the best goalie in the world in my opinion. Yes it was a bad result and we should of gotten a point at least and yes we deserved it a robbery from the ref on the clear penalty early in the game very commentator said it was a clear pk which would of changes the game completely. Either way we move on a try to get a result in Honduras. And just to poin t out there was a clear handball on the first CR goal from the guy that has the assist.

If this result had happened under JK's regime you would've been having an aneurism and typing in all caps about how awful he is as a coach.

The lack of fire in this team regardless of who is in charge as coach is concerning. At the 79 th minute they were passing the ball around like it was the first minute of the game.

They need to win in Honduras. AND I'm of the opinion that Fabian either plays LB or he is dropped. I'm fine with Zusi at RB.

We didn't get dominated and lost 4-0 that's the difference. We dominated and lost 2-0 Quit Trolling fool!!!! If JK was still coach we would be at the bottom of the table and eliminated from WC Contention!!!

That's cool blaise. You're still a racist. What you've said on here for the last few years shows how you think about other groups as all having the worst traits of their worst members. You've done it quite a few times.

And yeah, I do know more about soccer than you. I've had a coaching license for longer than you've been into the sport.

Also, Trump is a retard.

@chris, 2tone, dunlopp: I have to agree with all of that.

adms, we did not dominate on chances, just possession. We put 2 shots on goal.

This outcome is mostly Arena's fault.

1) There was a reason Ream hasn't played for USMNT for a while. It was Arena's mistake to start him in a do or die. Not only was Ream bad, but he made Cameron bad as well out of nervousness I believe because partnerships at CB are very much symbiotic.
2) Villafana is simply not good enough. Fabian Johnson needs to be there.
3) There has been YEARS of evidence suggesting that Fabian on the USMNT (forget his club, club vs. country are completely different beasts) doesn't work as midfielder. Now that utterly nullified the offense on his side of the pitch, AGAIN. Arena's fault. Arriola could have brought so much more.
4) Pulisic works much, much better on the USMNT as a CAM as opposed to an RW. Just a damn fact at this point. Forget his club, club vs. country dynamics again. Arena's fault.
5) So many other players could have been brought in, we have an enormous need for creative midfielders WHO SHOW AMBITION AND HUNGER AND TENACITY (you know, the opposite traits of Fabian Johnson).

I was actually pleasantly surprised at how well Zusi and Bradley played. Even Jozy and Bobby had their moments. This game was lost the moment Pulisic wasn't played centrally and Fabian was put in midfield.

navi, I agree, but I'd cut the blame for Ream in half, and spread that half around, including on Cameron who didn't have a great game, and wasn't great on either goal.

Pulisic is just fine on the wing if you actually play a 4-3-3.

In a 4-4-2 no.

Actually, just watching both replays, I'd cut the blame on Ream down by more than half of what people seem to be saying here and on MLS.

Howard is to blame more than Ream for the first goal.
If you can see a multi-angle replay (i.e. not the one on MLSsoccer) you can see that Howard dives about 0 feet for that save, because he's wrong footed. Ream at least corrals the guy out about 5 paces wider than the goal area.

Here's my pre-game XI:

If you have 3 in the back, you don't have to spread them as hard in possession, making you less vulnerable to the counter. CR was packing in and we would have been able to stagger our vertical spacing better than with a 4-4-2 . Those forwards needed an AM behind them all game.
Both goals were from splitting the CBs.

I think you were spot on with the three in the back argument.
