Every parent or coach of a young soccer player should read this article.

Unstructured pick-up play, watching soccer on TV, playing fustal, experiencing foreign soccer culture, training with an elite youth team...this is the path to becoming a world class talent.

Pulisic is the greatest young American talent ever and has the potential to be a world class player. If that happens, I sure hope people pay attention and follow the Pulisic model.

There's more to developing Pulisic than just Futsal, just to be devil's advocate.

HE is the son of a professional in the states who had a different view of things.

He had the access to resources to allow his dad to make leagues, teams etc

He had access to material online, lives in the day and age where it's possible to see the moves pro makes.

He, intrinsically, has a cocky, IDAGF attitude and believes or doesn't care about belief in his abilities. He's going to succeed, in his mind.

But having that background where you're honing individual skills in that way so that you come to the collective with that tool set is just an incredible advantage.

I never said futsal was the only part of it, just a part of it.

Lots of kids of soccer coaches but Pulisic is the first of his kind. Agree about importance of watching the sport.

The young soccer careers of Rubio Rubin and Brady Scott are headed in completely opposite directions.
