Yes. Lots of talented players. Their style and ability makes a joke of the two previous versions of the squad who turned out good players. John Hackworth deserves credit they play a great style and always look like scoring. They will blow these teams out of the water in the group stage based on form and talent.

After Josh Sargent lit up players three years his senior, I am really looking forward to seeing him torch kids his own age. Should be fun.

Yea that will be fun Akinola, Sargent and Carleton. I just hope they can show well. I remember the last cycle was such a disappointment with Haji and Pulisic. But unlike last cycle Richie Williams is gone

Good stuff dfw_fan.

All I know about Kochi stems from the short lived Kochi Tuskers IPL team. That and the name of the capital of Kerala is impossible for me to prounounce with even remote accuracy.

Yes, short lived, in IPL, team owners have peculiar loyalty to the cities, teams get suspended.

Thiruvananthapuram , name broken down is easier to say.... at least for me. I am not from that state or know the language, however, the British name Trivandrum used to be easier, before cities started changing back the names after about 40 or so years after independence.

Joshua Pynadath's parents are from Kerala.
Alright, back to regular programming...

Nice Joshua Pynadath shout out! Anybody know how he's doing now that he's moved over to Ajax's youth system?

Very very skillful, but he still looks like he's 11 years old (in 2016)

Hopefully he keeps on growing physically because he has the skills.

For those who haven't seen, this is the roster for the USMNT U-17 camp going on right now, the main names obviously being Josh Sargent and Andrew Carleton.

GOALKEEPERS (4): Alex Budnik (Sockers FC; Arlington Heights, Ill.), Sam Fowler (Seattle Sounders FC; Issaquah, Wash.), Justin Garces (Atlanta United FC; Miami, Fla.), Quantrell Jones (Baltimore Celtic; Baltimore, Md.)
DEFENDERS (9): Jake Arteaga (LA Galaxy, Glendora, Calif.), Carlos Asensio (Atlanta United FC; Roswell, Ga.), Ethan Bartlow (Crossfire Premier; Woodinville, Wash.), Sergino Dest (Ajax; Almere-stad, Netherlands), Christopher Gloster (New York Red Bulls; Montclair, N.J.), Jaylin Lindsey (Sporting Kansas City; Charlotte, N.C.), Tyler Shaver (Beachside SC; Greenwich, Conn.), Arturo Vasquez (FC Golden State; Mira Loma, Calif.), Akil Watts (IMG Academy; Fort Wayne, Ind.)
MIDFIELDERS (7): George Acosta (Weston FC; Hollywood, Fla.), Taylor Booth (Real Salt Lake AZ; Eden, Utah), Christopher Durkin (D.C. United; Glen Allen, Va.), Blaine Ferri (Solar Chelsea SC; Southlake, Texas), Chris Goslin (Atlanta United FC; Locust Grove, Ga.), Indiana Vassilev (IMG Academy; Savannah, Ga.), Adrian Villegas (Portland Timbers; Hood River, Ore.)
FORWARDS (9): Andrew Carleton (Atlanta United FC; Powder Springs, Ga.), Matthew Hundley (Real Colorado; Littleton, Colo.), Zyen Jones (Atlanta United FC; Clarkston, Ga.), Brayan Padilla (FC Dallas; Frisco, Texas) Alejandro Pereira (Orlando City SC; Oveido, Fla.), Jacobo Reyes (C.F. Monterrey; Monterrey, Mexico), Bryan Reynolds (FC Dallas; Little Elm, Texas), Joshua Sargent (Scott Gallagher Missouri; O'Fallen, Mo.), Sebastian Soto (Real Salt Lake AZ; Carlsbad, Calif.)

Can anyone who heavily follows the US youth system give me a synopsis of this roster and its players to watch outside of Sargent and Carleton (assuming the full roster consists of these guys, even though there are big U-17 players not in here (Akinola and Lederman)).

I'm a fan of George Acosta and his intelligence and vision as the #10.

Weah and Akinola are both not there, I am assuming they couldn't come.

Should be playing a better team than this.
