Why hasn't anyone mentioned concacaf champs league. Yes I know a disaster what we expected . Sorry but MLS still sucks is my fav league but at this point i m tired of defending us I realized were at least 10 years behind liga mx. But then again their getting great young talent over MLS so yes all home grown....

It's definitely upsetting. No other way to put it.

All I can say is that Mexico's leagues are starting to collect more players from Latin America, becoming the last stop, maybe on par with Brazillian leagues to jump off to Europe.

So it's not totally indicative of domestic talent level.

MLS has a salary cap, liga MX teams play under different rules than the MLS teams. But yes, the average Mexican player is still better than the average American.

Because MLS is staying Mediocre.... The 20,000 stadiums they continue to propose are basic and lame. Looks uninspiring on TV.

LOL, spot on, they more enamored about building 20k stadiums than building the product ground up(except for few teams)...

I dare the MLS and US Soccer to build a stadium in St. Louis... probably not going to happen and they were trying to stick it to general population

When was the last time the Bradley played the 8? Feels like we have only seen him as a 6 or as a 10 over the past few years. Watching Cameron play the 6 for Stoke I'd like to try out a lineup similar to the following:

---Wood-------
-------Dempsey---
--Fabian----Pulisic--
----Bradley--Cam---
-Jorge-Brooks-Gonzo-Yedlin-
------Howard------

I don't have an issue with this line-up. I'm not sold on Gonzo, but until someone else really steps up I guess this is the best we've got. I'm also guessing that Dempsey's roll as a starter would be subject to the competition. I'd say that Dempsey becomes an on again off again starter/super-sub.

By 2018 I think Miazga will be in the Gonzo spot. Has really played well in the offensive dominated Everdnise. I also think this Gold Cup could be an opportunity for somebody to take over for Fabjo, Cam or Bradley, and Dempsey.

I would like to see Pulisic under Wood. Acosta in for either Cam or Bradley, would not be shocked to see Hydmann for the other one, and maybe if Wright plays a full year for Schalke him for Fabjo.

I think Brooks could find his spot in jeopardy if he cannot fly to the states without getting hurt. I think that is something to watch for.

@skangkles Why does Bradley have to be on the field? What does he do better than everybody else or that no other 6 can do?

Why do we need two 6s?

I see Cam's best position on this team as primarily CB.
We all know that Brooks is our best CB.
We all know that Miazga, EPB, CCV are better than Gonzo RIGHT NOW.

Haji Wright is a striker. Fab is a winger.

-Wood--
--Pulisic-
-Green-Ariola-
-Acost-Nagbe-

Or switch Acosta and Cam and put CCV at CB

we need all young player getting opportunities in the GC

Not sure what everyone sees in Gonzo he plays ok but falls asleep way to often. I rate chad marshal better than him.

at any rate hopefully we can start to field a young team and see who can hang at this level. Come every world cup someone gets hurts we need the fringe players to be ready.

NO more: Gonzo, Wondo, Bradley, Jones, Zusi, Beasly, Bedoya, (once we secure points)

Like it or not Bradley will be a key figure for the national team for probably 4 more years barring injury. He is the Captain. A calming influence for the team and is a fairly complete player. After 2018 he'll likely be fazed out as Hyndman and others continue to rise. Who gets the armband next....is yet to be determined.

Wondo is already done. If not for the rash of injuries in March he wouldn't have been called up. Since Dempsey has proven he's back there's no need to see Wondo again.
Beasley is nearly done. He was brought in as a back-up to Villafana since Fabian was injured. Another player I don't expect to see again, especially if Garza can stay healthy.
Zusi is the 4th/5th string RB. He'll only get called in if/when things are desperate.
Jones is good guy to keep around (bench) as he puts his hart into every game. He just always seems out of step w/ Bradley. At least for the time being one or the other will always be on the field.
Gonzo & Bedoya are decent back-ups...but their time is coming to an end. Gonzo is basically around because of his history w/ Bruce. But Miazga, Birnbaum, CCV and others are hot on his heals. Bedoya is also facing serious competition from the likes of Green, Gooch, Manneh, and even Zardes.

Nobody has given one reason why bradley should be on the team let alone starting in 2018 other than he's been the captain. So, even the bradley fans don't have know why he should play or be on the team.
Bradley makes US Soccer a joke.

You didn't agree with or like the reasons, you just disagree. But you're the Freddy adu guy right? Bradley is everything Adu never was.

Bradley wasn't a calming influence when we got blown out by Argentina and CR.
He's the captain because of politics and systemic prejudices against better players that don't represent the federation's agenda.
When referring to Bradley as a complete player, are we disregarding pace, quickness, dribbling, forward passing at the international level?
To accept that he's an untouchable player, because of politics is total bs and a discredit to the program.

Yes, exactly!!!!
There are way too many errors(lets not even talk about safe back passes) Bradley commits during the game, he is the one who should be benched and let the other leader run the show, namely, JJ, dont mind seeing a pairing of JJ and Hyndman
We got blown away partially due to two key exclusions, Jermaine Jones was missing
