I would set the over/under on EPL appearances at 2.5 and I'd take the under. He's likely in the CCV boat where he's too good for reserves but not good enough for them yet.

2.5 why so high? With Hazard getting fit and presumably a few more signings on the way the over under should be closer to 1...and I would say 0 EPL appearances. In fact I will say he may have made his last EPL bench of the season. If he doesn't end up on loan I can see him maybe getting a few minutes in a cup game.

And I don't think he is too good for the reserves...making the bench has more to do with him being the most ready at a position of need.

I thought it was high too but i could see an 89' minute appearance to milk clock here or there

Looking at Chelsea's fixtures, if Scott does not go out on loan it is quite conceivable he will get actual first team minutes in the middle of September.

September 12th they play at home against Qarabag in the CL
September 17th they play at home to Arsenal
September 20th they play Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup

With the fixtures on top of each other he could see minutes against Forest in the Carabao cup.

He may also get CL minutes as Chelsea travel to Azerbaijan November 22nd and then play three days later on November 25th away to Liverpool. The CL match is long travel so they may send reserves and keep the starting XI at home to train for Liverpool.

It being so late in the window with all seasons having started, I think it would be best if he stayed at Chelsea until January.

Kyle Scott is on the Chelsea Champions League roster for the group stages...primarily because he counts as a home grown player. His best chance of playing will be away in Azerbaijan.

Fair enough, let's just hope he stays top flight and on one of the big leagues (At the very least, the Eredivisie in Holland or the Primeira Liga in Portugal). Best of luck to him and hopefully he'll get to where he can join all the guys I want on the national team immediately.

If Chelsea beat Roma home and away Scott will more than likely be in the Chelsea lineup for the away CL match in Azrbaijan. They play Liverpool the weekend after the Qarbag match and if they have sewn up the group they will leave a good number of regulars at home.

Outside of that, I don't see him getting any other minutes save perhaps a cameo against Everton later this month.

Her's hoping January is kind to him and he lands a loan somewhere where he can play some minutes and be successful.

He may well be on the bench again this weekend if Drinkwater isn't fit as Kante has been ruled out until November. May well see the bench against Roma too

From Antonio Conte's press conference today

"‘The last is Kante. We are going to do a scan next week to check his situation to see if he is improving. For sure it is a muscular problem, a hamstring problem. This is a big loss for us. You know very well the importance of N'Golo Kante in our team. We don't have another player with the same characteristics.

‘We were not lucky in this period above all in midfield. We have only Bakayoko and Fabregas available.

‘We have to approach seven games in one month and we have to find different solutions in this period: to adapt some defenders in midfield, or give opportunities to young players like [Kyle] Scott or [Ethan] Ampadu.'"

So he is on the radar but given he also mentioned a 17 year old who has already been called to the Wales full national team, I am not that optimistic he will play.
