The US should beat El Salvador. We have had more rest and we aren't demoralized.

I predict a 3 or 4 goal win.

Unfortunately we don't always win when we should. I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being 1-0, with the goal coming late for us, or 1-1

Do head to head wins matter more than GD ? So if El Salvador wins by some miracle were eliminated ? I think we win 4-1 and make the final. Maybe we can win our first concacaf title ever.

Wouldn't it come down to the top two overall on goal difference going through to the U-20 World Cup (and top one to the tourney final) if we somehow lose and it's a three way tie?

CONCACAF have the regs from the 2015 qualifying tournament on their website. If they haven't changed, and we lose tomorrow, here is the tie-break scenario:

1) Greatest number of points in the match(es) between the tied teams still tied
2) Greatest goal difference in the matches between the tied teams Mexico win group

Now, even if we lose we can still qualify. According to the posted regs, the remaining 4 teams will be seeded 1 through four based on points and goal difference. 1 will play 4 and 2 will play three...the winners of these matches will qualify for the World Cup.

In the above scenario we cannot be seeded 4th since the last place team from the other group will have fewer than 3 points. If it comes to this, it is likely we will be top seeds and play Panama again.

Obviously the simplest thing to do would be to avoid defeat. El Salvador have 2 options...1)The Suicide option of trying to win the group by overturning a -5 goal differential 2) The pragmatic option of resting their stars and letting results pan out as they may...knowing Panama and Costa Rica will be going all out to avoid playing Mexico if we get a result.

CONCACAF has four spots in the U-20 WC per the FIFA website so a win/tie and we're in. Anything short of a blowout loss and screwing up the tiebreaker(s) gets us in.

I'd prefer (along with everyone else) they go for the throat and win tonight and in the final Sunday but the main goal is securing qualification.

This is true. A list and argument could be made for almost a whole new team of players who weren't released. There are many talented players in and around the 18-20 range who will help out during the World Cup.

So now that we've qualified what are the possible/expected roster changes between the current squad.....
Keeper: Jonathan Klinsmann, JT Marcinkowski,
Defense: Danny Acosta, Marlon Fossey, Justen Glad, Aaron Herrera, Erik Palmer-Brown, Tommy Redding, Auston Trusty
Midfield: Tyler Adams, Jonathan Gonzalez, Jeremiah Gutjahr, Sebastian Saucedo,
Luca De La Torre, Eryk Williamson
Forward: Coy Craft, Jeremy Ebobisse, Brooks Lennon, Jonathan Lewis, Emmanuel Sabbi,

Once the rest of the player pool becomes available for selection....

Forwards: Mukwelle Akale, Josh Perez, Haji Wright, Timothy Weah
Midfield: Gedion Zelalem,
Defense: Cameron Carter-Vickers, Matthew Olosunde

Who's stock raises now that the MLS season is getting under way?
