Nice. I'm sure Rongen has been on the phone, but assuming he's approximately 0% to represent the USMNT?

I don't know, I'm having this very conversation with a friend.

It all depends on what the pipeline looks for Germany in a couple years. Or the depth.

Leroy Sane, Draxler, who else occupies the wing slots and Cam positions?

I mean barring any nationalistic sentiment, it might come to that.

Been talking about this kid for awhile. Told you none of you know anything about soccer. Everyone on here keeps wanting to see zusi, bedoya, Bradley, klejestan, Dax when we should pursing this kid. Wood up top with Tillman and Pulisic underneath

Barcelona inquired awhile ago and is brother Malik is in the US youth system. But since you all follow the garbage players, nobody knew that!

?

We can't call up people who don't play professionally, unless of course their name is Julian Green.

Noone keeps wanting to see Zusi, Bradley etc, that's what we have to choose from.

When Emerson and Gedion get 10 15 consecutive games in with good form, they have to be called up.

If Timothy breaks the bench tomorrow and starts a string of 10 15 games coming off the bench, yes by all means he has to get called up.

Otherwise the US MNT staff has to bring him into a camp full of professionals and extend the camp for like a month to exhaustively put him through game situations and thoroughly evaluate him.

I was calling for Pulisic's inclusion after making consecutive substitute appearances. But he at least had to be tried out in a competitive environment.

Granted against teams like Cuba, St Vincent's probably not, maybe you can afford to bring him to those...

Makes sense Rey. In terms of depth chart, if he breaks in as a Bayern regular...I assume Germany senior squad call-ups aren't far behind. If Bayern are slower to bring him along, it could present a chance to swoop in.

For CAM and wings, slightly older but still pretty well prime with Ozil, Kroos, Goetze, Schweinsteiger, and Muller (a couple of whom are getting fewer club minutes due to our boy).

The USMNT roster needs a shake up. Bruce needs to channel his inner "2002" and call up the youth. If you want to continue seeing mediocre soccer with mediocre players like Bradley, Altidore, Zusi, Bedoya, and Kljestan, then expect to barely qualify for the World Cup and being knocked out in the group stage or round of 16.

And I hope none you fall into the feilhaber, Mc Carty inclusion trap... no thanks

Scwien is done. I can't off the top of my head think of the hot german talent, I'm sure there is plenty, just can't think of it.

And yea Blaise, I remember Bruce 2002, but even then he called Sanneh, O'brien, etc guys who were 26, 27. The question is do you think Feilhaber and McCarty have stuff to offer? Are they skilled, are they playing well in their club team? Do they have younger alternatives?

Also I think the difference between then and now is that we didn't have this breakdown during qualifying. He was open to experimenting back then, maybe if we get some points in away matches and climb up the hex, along with the young guys breaking through at their respective clubs, we will see an influx or just a total change of the guard.

No, we need to qualify. 4 points from next 2 games the maybe we can bring in a couple of guys next time who aren't ready today. 6 pts, then a couple more.

Tillman has been a regular in the Germany Youth setup. He's clearly on the path to DFB senior team (at least as of now). My guess is he goes the path of Fab, Brooks, Chandler. Stay with Germany through U21 setup, then at that point if Germany doesnt look likely make the switch.

I hope US is at least talking to him and making a pitch (like El Salvador is doing with Josh Perez) but I dont think theres any chance he switches to us before 2020, which would make sense as if he switched then hed still have 18 months to integrate into senior team in preparation of 2022 world cup.

Tillman said years ago that he's essentially staying with Germany until they don't want him. He's open to playing for the US if things work out in that way.

Must say, I am starting to like your constructive thoughts. Agree that we should integrate youg and few "old gaurd", we should start with Hyndman, Gooch, Green, Pulisic(ofcourse) etc etc.

To Blaise's credit, Graham Zusi should never see the pitch again in a USMNT uniform. Blooding youth is a fantastic idea, but they have to earn it at the 1st team level, not be playing U18s, U19s, etc. We only have a few guys that fit that category, an those players are the names above plus Paul Arriola and Kellyn Acosta. If youth team minutes were sufficient on their own, then Haji Wright, McKinzie, and Weston McKinney all need to be playing and maybe starting for USMNT.
