I imagine Klejstan comes in and they do:

------Wood
Lleget--Klejstan--Pulisic
----Jones--Bradley
Villafana--Brooks-Cameron--Orozco

I don't think, if this was JK's roster, people would be saying anything different than what we are saying (mild disagreement). Virtually all of it is no one's fault, Fabian, Yedlin, Lichaj injuries, Chandler suspended. What can you do?

I would imagine if Fabian cant go either Lletget or Nagbe will take his spot. Also inst Jermaine Jones suspended vs Honduras ? I think Acosta wil start tho. I think Arena will go.

-- Jozy - Wood --

Lletget - Pulisic - Bradley -

----- Acosta ---

Villafana - Brooks - Gonzo - Cameron -

----- Howard ----

Subs - Nagbe, Morris, Dempsey.

Fab is a solid player, but so far hasn't made a huge impact as a mid for the nats. I was looking forward to seeing how he looked at mid under Arena

Nagbe can slot in at Lmid...probably a couple other options too...without seeing a significant difference in actual results.

Call up Arriola then if we need a wide player

But if Arena says Nagbe isn't a central mid, are they neck and neck against each other?

I agree Lletget has brawn, brains and brilliance with his feet in order to pull off a CM cameo. I would love to see him with Nagbe in the middle.

Yes, Legit and Nagbe are both better in the center, but I don't think that's what they're here for. No one knows Legit better than Bruce and Bruce rarely played him in the center.

I can't think of anything that starts with "B" but add Legit90 to his attributes. Like I said somewhere else - that mofo sprinted 110 yards in the 60th minute on Sunday to break up what was otherwise an absolute certain goal by Adi. I know he doesn't have the speed that some of the dabblers in this forum think a wide player HAS to have, but he can run - and a wide player definitely needs that.

And I think I've just convinced myself that Legit is above Nagbe on the depth chart.

I suspect that Nagbe can make more striker-like dribble-cut-shoot moves.

I am happy that Guzan has his priorities in order. The birth of a child is way more important than a WCQ. Well done by him to make the correct albeit difficult decision.

I like Lleget in middle...his first couple steps are real quick..,great balance and strength on the ball. He can play outside, but I think his future is in the middle as an 8. I'd take him over JJ in a heartbeat...

Oh you think Bruce will play Lletget out wide?

You're absolutely right, you don't need speed if you have crazy skill. Look at Totti, and to an extent Dempsey. I'm sure Dempsey can work miracles out on the wing.. well providing he was fully fit.

I know he might cosign Nagbe to flank duties, I truthfully think he sees more athlete in him ( this is clearly my bias... that Arena would prefer athletic qualities on the flank).

But I didn't think he would view Lletget out there, more so than in the middle. Well we'll know soon enough.

I'd think a diamond with:

Pulisic
Nagbe, Lletget
Bradley

Yeah, the reactions to JK's roster and lineup decisions were never anything more than "mild disagreement." SMH

since Fabian was a winger in this camp, does anyone think bruce might bring in a youngin? ariolla green type? or go vet? I guess no replacement is an option too.

Plenty of options. Personally Hyndmann in and Lletget to wing makes sense to me

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, ladies and gentlemen, but Michael Orozco will start for the US men's national team in Jacksonville.
