I do not believe Morris could start in the Bundesliga today or even play above reserve level. He's still very raw.

4-4-2 diamond

Wood
Green or (Boyd)

Arriola Hyndman Pulisic

Acosta or (Williams)

Fab Brooks Miazga or (CCV) Yedlin or (Chandler)

FUN Lineups??

my XI would be women, positions to be determined later, coached by Jennifer Connelly, and the club sponsors would be pan seared salmon, a glass of red, an ale and two tokes

Don't forget Miazga @dave- he's very talented as well as athletic. Has been a meh sort of year for him at Vitesse. Looking towards next year, club moves are important for everyone in my lineup not named Pulisic, Brooks, Yedlin or Johnson.... with that in mind, guys like Morris, Wood, Acosta, Miazga, Horvath, Nagbe and Lletget can push their careers forward by playing at better clubs with better players. For those guys their club environment being in flux and not the most competitive possible could either make or break their 2018 chances....

4-4-2 diamond:

Morris, Wood
Pulisic
Nagbe, Lletget
Acosta
Fabian, Brooks, Miazga, Yedlin
Horvath

Talented, young lineup with range and technical ability.

I'm not forgetting Miazga. He's talented, but IMO he's more a selection after 2018. CCV is advancing quickly, and Birnbaum provides more flexibility/coverage in the event there is an injury/suspension. Acosta, Lletget or D. Williams are 3 others I could easily see making the cut if Cameron continues to struggle with his health.

----Green----Wood---
-Nagbe---Gooch---Pulisc-
-------Cameron----
-Fabian--Brooks--CCV--Yedlin-
------Horvath------

Bench: Zardes, Altidore, Morris, Bradley, Hyndman, Manneh, Besler, Birnbaum, Villafana, Chandler, Howard/Guzan

A squad full of players who have a ton of talent that mix speed, technical ability, physical strength, grit, and versatility. Has both experience and youthful exuberance.

@bjelks- did you say Morris wasn't good enough to start in bundesliga but then out in "mr reserve team" himself Julian Green up there?? (I'm a fan of Green, he's still got a role to play, but your logic is off.).

@chris, @mmee- I made the mistake of seeing Requiem for a dream and Connelly was ruined for me.

Julian Green was on the bench for the best team in the Bundesliga, scored our most impressive goal of the last WC, and starts on a top team in bundesliga 2. Morris plays for Seattle sounders.

What a great lineup. A forward who can't get healthy and barely played the last two years. Two midfielders who are not eligible/don't want to play for us. A midfielder who hasn't even made a game day roster in his career and a Belgian league backup keeper.

Definitely nothing wrong with this lineup...

She's naked as a jaybird in that, and I do NOT count that as a sexy movie.
But part of the reason why I love her is that she's talented as hell.

Anyway I'm still thinking about my XI of FUN.

MSantoine must work at CNN, Washington Post, or NY Times because my lineup doesn't fit his non-attacking, backwards passing, mediocre player liberal soccer agenda.

Thought this thread was called "Fun line-ups"?

Bet anything your boner line up includes bedoya, zusi, klejastan, bradley all in your starting XI.... or you're mad because one of you (probably you) kept bashing me over Kenny Saief and dude is starting to pop up again on USMNT radar..... Everyone always hating because I know what I'm talking about.

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, ladies and gentlemen, but Michael Orozco will start for the US men's national team in Jacksonville.
