For a little fun, what would your ideal lineups be (assume players healthy and FIFA intl date)?

For me:

---Wood-Altidore
Nagbe--Feilhaber---Pulisic
-----Bradley--------
Lichaj--Brooks-Cameron--Yedlin

-----Wood-- Altidore--- Morris

----Nagbe------------ Nguyen

-----------Cameron-------

Fabian----Brooks----Gonzalez----Yedlin

------------Robles (total Wildcard)

Bradley super sub with Dempsey (you can't assume Dempsey DOESN'T have a heart condition)

Good thread navi, from here on out, let's keep the lineups in this thread. It's been out of control for a couple of years now, half of the posts are peoples' FIFA lineups and we really should just keep them in one place

-------Wood--Altidore-------
----------Pulisic----------
-------Torres--Morales-------
Johnson Besler Cameron Brooks Yedlin
---------Guzan----------

I like this, your variants of course are Torres Morales.

would you give Cameron license to make up the midfield, or prefer any depth be added through fullbacks exclusively?

Cameron can scoot forward, almost as a DM at times. And if I were the coach we'd play pretty offensively, so Johnson and Yedlin would bomb forward to provide width.

The biggest question mark is who plays as the #6. Kitchen, Bradley, and Beckerman are also possibilities. Also a bit unsure of Besler as a starter.

Considered putting Jozy back there, but why do that when literally anybody can.

I'll hedge this line-up by saying I don't think they're all ready right now, but this is something I think would be interesting to potentially try in this summers Gold Cup....

-------Wood-------Morris-----
--Nagbe------Gooch------Pulisc-
-------------Cameron--------
--Fabian---Brooks---CCV----Yedlin-
-----------Horvath------------

Bench: Zardes, Altidore, Green, Bradley, Hyndman, Manneh, Besler, Birnbaum, Villafana, Chandler, Howard/Guzan

A squad full of players who have a ton of talent that mix speed, technical ability, physical strength, grit, and versatility. Has both experience and youthful exuberance.

Don't forget Miazga @dave-- he's very talented as well as athletic. Has been a meh sort of year for him at Vitesse. Looking towards next year, club moves are important for everyone in my lineup not named Pulisic, Brooks, Yedlin or Johnson.... with that in mind, guys like Morris, Wood, Acosta, Miazga, Horvath, Nagbe and Lletget can push their careers forward by playing at better clubs with better players. For those guys their club environment being in flux and not the most competitive possible could either make or break their 2018 chances....

4-4-2 diamond:

Morris, Wood
Pulisic
Nagbe, Lletget
Acosta
Fabian, Brooks, Miazga, Yedlin
Horvath

Talented, young lineup with range and technical ability.
