If you don't trust sacha for this game then no way should we trust green or besler also.
Each player can be effective, one has nothing to do with the other. Besler has always been solid for the USA (slip vs Belgium aside); Green just scores goals I guess you're right who wants that?; as for Sacha, he's a bit soft to play in a two man midfield against Mexico. Against poorer competition yes, but Mexico? I'd be surprised if he had a good game against them.

Yeah, happy for Sacha that he's back (and where the bloody hell is Rain!?!?), but I've never seen Sacha have a good game against a good team. It probably happened sometime in Europe, but never seen it. . .

Interesting roster.

Do we really need 4 GK's though?

Not a fan of calling players up just to cap tie. I mean it's cool CCV is in the team, but is he really deserving over a Miazga right now?

Meh. If he truly wants to rep the USA, we shouldn't be worried about cap tying IMO.

I have a feeling ArJo will be a transfer target for Atlanta United in January.

Roster -
Keepers (4): Guzan, Howard, Horvath, Yarbrough
Defenders (9): Besler, Birnbaum, Brooks, CCV, Chandler, Gonzalez, Fabian, Orozco, Yedlin
Midfielders (9): Bedoya, Bradley, Gooch, Green, Jones, Kljestan, Pulisic, Stanko, Zusi
Forwards (4): Jozy, Johannsson, Morris, Wood

Thoughts: Either Horvath or Yarbrough get dropped from the gameday roster...I think it'll be Yarbrough, but who knows what JK will actually do.

CCV's inclusion was the shock inclusion to the camp....but I think this is more about the coaches telling him that they are watching and that he's in their plans than actually cap tying him. He'll get dropped unless he really stands out. Possible coverage for CDM???

Stanko is a bit of a surprise as I thought either Williams or Kitchen would have gotten the call as coverage at the #6 position....but perhaps JK is maybe thinking CCV for that role. Of the midfielders I expect Stanko to be dropped.

A little surprised (pleasantly) to see Johannsson make the roster. Thought for sure that JK would have brought Wondo (thankfully he didn't). Nice thing is that Green or Gooch can be used as strikers if needed. Not fully sold on ArJo making the final 23 at this point.

Still not sold on Kljestan. Have a feeling it will be Bradley and Jones in the middle if JK goes with a 4-4-2.

This is my formation and starting 11:

-------Jozy------
Morris----Kljestan-/-----Pulisic
----/---Jones------Bradley-----
Fabian----Brooks---Gonzo----Yedlin
-----------Howard--------

Bradley has been getting back to his best the past three weeks, and that's good to see.

Could very well see that. But would not be surprised to see Chandler at left back and Fabian in the Morris spot. Not that I want that, but could see it. Morris is a beast for Mexico to contain him when he comes off the bench. Morris deserves a start but he maybe more valuable with fresh legs late, and you tell him attack only.

Morris over a CL starter? GTFO! Fabian deserves the start in a more natural spot that he's actually more comfortable in.

@Spank - the problem has been and remains that we don't have a quality Left Back option other than Fabian. We could try Chandler at LB again, but I don't see that happening in these 2 games. Until we do have another LB option able to compete against the top tier CONCACAF teams Fabian will remain on the back-line.

Jones got through 83 minutes yesterday, I was watching the NFL so someone else would have to say how well he played, but it seems to me he will be ready for Mexico.
