@hamsamwich - While I'm not opposed to your suggested midfield line-up I need to see how much & how well he plays before I'd be ready to insert him into the starting XI against Mexico. Due to the nature of JJ's injury and the amount of time he's been sidelined his fitness and touch is still a concern....until he can prove that he's game ready.

He can play 60' and come out for an attacking sub. We all know Jürgen thinks so. Obviously he will have to prove his fitness but he should have gametime this week and then the playoffs. I feel very comfortable in the impact a healthy Jones would have in this game specifically.

Good for Nagbe. I always like it when people choose life over work.

You would call playing soccer professionally "work?"

And I guess if Charlie Davies had taken a cab home, that would've been cool, too?

So with Jermaine Jones returning to Colorado I could see a midfield diamond of Bradley, Jones, Bedoya and Klestjan. Lot of bite in that midfield to break up the solid attacking play of the Mexicans. They are not a joke opponent and just because we've won other games by Dos a Cero doesn't mean without the required grit that we can do it again. I see attacking subs like Pulisic and Morris coming on when the game opens up but not before.

Ugh. If this is our midfield I'll turn off the game and wait to read the ESPN headline about how Mexico dominated possesion and how far away from competing we are. This midfield would get steam rolled by Mexico. It would be like the confed cup all over again. Mexico attacks relentlessly, we boot the ball upfield under extreme pressure and hope for miracle counter, Mexico recovers and attacks, we boot ball aimlessly upfield, repeat until Mexico wins or we luckily draw

Yep it's a job. Like mine in some ways. Not like mine in other ways. Same applies for the guy behind the counter at McDonald's - job like mine in some ways. Not like mine in some ways.

Charlie Davies paid dearly for his crime. And so did we. Foolish. I hope that was a fuck of a party. He better have been doing blow off of some chicks ass and the. Received a blowjob from said chick.

@stone88 - I'm not against this formation or the majority of the players you selected, but I don't think Miazga is going to be the starting RCB against our 2 strongest opponents in the conference. That's going to be Cameron.
Bradley will shift to where you've currently got Cameron and either Jones or Williams will slot into the spot where you've got Bradley.
I agree that the RB spot should probably be Chandler...but I think JK will go with Yedlin. And of course Bedoya will be in the spot you currently have Yedlin.

@stone88 @dave I like Stone lineup, however, I think Dave nailed it re his changes my guess it will be jones instead of williams and yes bedoya will be in there for "hustle" I also think he will have joy up top--but it would be nice to see Stones lineup at some point-

To be fair, he did not commit a crime. He made a poor choice to get into a vehicle with an inebriated driver. She was the person who broke the law. I'm 100% in agreement on the rest, though.

Davies didn't commit a crime. He made a poor decision. Davies was a passenger not the driver.

Yes it was a very poor choice and bad luck that an accident occurred, and yes he was the passenger because maybe he was to inebriated to drive who knows. Point is it ruined his international career so far to this point but not his soccer career because he is still playing unlike say Holden who in my opinion did not go trough what davies did he was just more of a fighter i guess. But holden is doing well in life.

I'm sorry if I missed it, but why IS altidore benched in this?

I like this and very much think this could be it, or any variation where Fab and Puli are on the wings and Yedlin and Chandler are outside backs.

I agree with Rey here, i thought Johnson and Yedlin bombing up the wings would be great. Johnson just seems disinterested in going forward at this point so why not utilize him to his max and put him at right mid where he plays for club. We know Chandler likes to get up and down the field, as does yedlin. Chandler is a question mark as he never shows up but Johnson may be more key in unlocking defenses.
