Lol hamm did you say tonto? You know spanish? Lmao dude! You made my day.
I do. Called adms "Tonto" when he made ill advised racial comments over a year ago, and I'm sticking with it. Although off the forum field, something must've happened (did the young man get some?) because the hate is mostly gone from his posts, replaced by rare moments of clarity.

As for next months game- is anyone going? I plan to do the whole Azteca thing next year and then visit some of my Cuban-Mexican family in Jalisco.....
****Im slightly worried that a "European-style" change by Concacaf would result in USA no longer playing qualifiers against Mexico. I may have missed my chance for a big game in Columbus this year, but not next year in Mexico City. I hope the proposed changes remember what brings the bacon in concacaf, that is "el clasico norteamericano", bald eagle v golden eagle, good v evil (?), USA v Mexico!!

I'm entered in the American Outlaws lottery, but they don't announce who has been awarded tickets until Thursday. If I don't get tix to Columbus then I definitely plan to try and get to Azteca next summer. Yanks Abroad road trip?

With Dempsey out, who has been a key player for the last years, we will need a lot from the others for this game. It is important to get the 3 points and for once i am not the confident like the other times. Maybe because Brooks is quick to get injured. Maybe cause deuce is gone. Altidore and his hamstring. Fabjo ive never really counted on as an attacker cause he disappears and in defense he seems uninterested many times. I know people will hate this but for the mental aspect against the mexicans, i would call Landon. Every one knows he will not be there. Mexicans know that. But then you throw them off their mental game if he is. That's already two mental issues they have to deal with. The Columbus scenario is the first and best. And in sports, once you are winning the mental game, it's hard to come back from it.

How do you guys not recognize this as adms? Who else on this planet could come up with something like that?

@dolcem- they aren't the same guy if you follow the thread. This guy is a Mexican whereas Tontito is an El Salvadorean who grew up with Mexicans. What you've missed while living in Argentina is the way Landon was marketed to kids in the USA... For me, Landon is just a touch younger than I am, but he was more of my contemporary than someone to look up to. US Soccer certainly pandered to that element for sure. Many kids have Donovan posters, even now. And that's good thing overall because it's different than an AJ Green or Steph Curry poster.

I would settle for Landon swallowing some pride and appearing in Columbus for this game as a fan and supporter of the team if he really is such a magical talisman.

And Torpe sanwich thinks cuatehmoc blanco is the greatest player along with the fire as being the best club. Sorry the fire are a sorry franchise that have a horrible stadium and terrible fan base. Chicago is a crappie city for soccer unless your Mexican which you are. And BTW the bears suck, white socks also and Dodgers will take the Cubs out. Horrible city for sports since Jordan retired

Definitely not a Mexican but you are a racist I haven't forgotten son. I hope the dodgers beat the cubs. Blanco era long gone, you can't get me there since I've called for the Fire to be relocated. Chicago is a great sports/soccer town but I actually live in Colorado these days.

Dude i think nagbe just fell off the squad with that. And yes you are right Hamm. Nagbe asked JK not to call him up for family time.

Hopefully Nagbe didn't burn his bridges with his request to be left out for these past friendlies. IMO He is just as creative as Kljestan, is better defensively, is faster, and is younger. Not sure what happened during the September qualifiers, but if Nagbe had been given the same chances as Kljestan was I'm sure he'd have shown just as well if not better than SK.
SK has likely overtaken him for the November Qualifiers, but I hope to see Nagbe reassert himself during the January Camp and knock Kljestan out of the squad.

The only DL I made was tjsoccer, for which you, rain, and alcharod/bjelks/sitebomb were the inspiration. And it was comedic gold and fun to write. No way I'm masochistic enough to spend time writing the kind of posts rain writes.

The fact that you and live always get so defensive about it though only further proves your guilt.

Good for Nagbe. I always like it when people choose life over work.

So with Jermaine Jones returning to Colorado I could see a midfield diamond of Bradley, Jones, Bedoya and Klestjan. Lot of bite in that midfield to break up the solid attacking play of the Mexicans. They are not a joke opponent and just because we've won other games by Dos a Cero doesn't mean without the required grit that we can do it again. I see attacking subs like Pulisic and Morris coming on when the game opens up but not before.
