I am 100% ready to admit that Chandler has a good game, if he does have one. He's apparently been playing well in the last while, so this could be the day he starts a good trend for the nats.

I am not thrilled that his next chance is now, but I can accept that and this formation.
Losing Cameron hurts, but other than that I don't have anything to say about the XI, especially since Nagbe has been inconsistent in recent months.

Edit: for the record I have been asking for this formation with people like FJ, TC and DY in our potential wingback pool. So I am more than OK with it.

I am curious about 2 other things:
How well will Pulisic play centrally at his age? i.e. will he run himself to death without the ball, trying to win every 1v1, or will he save a few runs and try to channel?

Will the team be in good shape psychologically after the elections and unrest?

I love what Juergen is trying with this lineup. He's trying to out-Osorio Osorio.

Osorio is frantically trying to figure out how to roll out a 2 man backline right now.

I like it. It's a good balance. Chandler has been great as the RWB this year in Eintrachts 3-5-2 formation.

Pulisic is the type of player we need in that spot in my opinion if this is to come off...

Jozy and Wood should occupy their CBs but we need a midfielder/forward who's not afraid to get into the box and shoot, and Sacha, Zusi and Bedoya don't provide that. Not too mention that, but he should have the stamina to close down defensively for a long time.

Timmy Chandler might have a field day today as he has the best cross in our pool and both Jozy and Wood should be in and around the box. Chandlers crosses will key our attack if he can get forward enough to make them, as the size advantage of the strikers will be pivotal if we can play to that strength.

Is it a 352? If it is, it sucks because a new formation during a big game.

Yes, this by itself is not good. It's a gamble. It may be the wrong gamble.

...Maybe the secret mission for the last 2 friendlies was to work the 3-5-2 in practice, but not debut it against Cuba and NZ?? Weirder things have been done.

Yet another reason that it's nice to have both big forwards out there at the same time.

EDIT: MLS thinks it's a 4-4-2 for us.

Whatever it is, US better bring it. Key players for me, Bald Eagle and CP10.
