Don't look now, but Agudelo is closing in fast on a USMNT return. If he can stay healthy I rate him up there with Jozy as a target striker.

Wow, Juan is still only 23. Seems like he has been a pro forever.

Yep. Juan and Bobby were part of the 2011 u20 cycle. Which also featured Rowe, Gyau, Kitchen, Lletget, Garza, Powers, Boyd, Gatt. It was a talented cycle of players, but they just didn't mesh well as a team for the 2011 Concacaf u-20 tournament. Also remember Juan was playing in USMNT friendlies instead of the u-20 tournament. Also Gatt wasn't released for it. Pissed off Rongen.

Agudelo has had 3 good games... Considering his flaw has been consistency, lets slow that USMNT train on down. He needs to finish the season strong, and show out in the playoffs. That could put him at January '17 camp but no way he gets in sooner.

Everyone is loving the Agudelo finish, me too

the reason you play is to win : FC DALLAS

the reason I watch, is that Nguyen backheel to setup hte angle the CDM had to feed agudelo who was 1 v 1 on the defender... just beautiful words can't describe.

You cant show well in the playoffs when you dont make it. If we do a Decemeber round of friendlies I could see him called in for those as those friendlies are typically held in Europe and consist of Euro guys and MLS guys who missed the playoffs (lets guys who played deep into November get a little break)

Many of those same players (minus a few here & there) were part of the U-23 team that Porter failed to get to the Olympics for 2012. Although the problem with that team was that we didn't have a defense to match the offence....and Shea made a bone-headed play at the end of the game against El Salvador.

Who was Opara's buddy in Central defense? Kitchen?

Opara, Kitchen & Fennell were the CB options, but we didn't really have viable outside back options either. Youth tournaments are difficult for the US since a large % of our best youth players are in Europe and teams aren't required to release them unless it's on a FIFA date, something CONCACAF fails to do in most cases.
