I wouldn't be surprised if we go with a more typical 4-3-3. The roster changes kind of lean that way.

Green-jozy-arriola
Sacha-kitchen(or dwill)-Bradley
Acosta-birbaum-besler-parker(prob orozco but I can't pick a lineup with him in it)
Yarborough (although wouldn't surprise me to see hamid get the start at home)

Are you guys leaving off Yedlin for a reason? He is in DC.

@msantoine- I agree it does lend itself to a 4-3-3.
@chris- I wouldn't be surprised if Boyd isn't on the field. Glad he's back tho.

So agudelo is back. His talent always makes me want to see more and then we do see more and I'm like "put it away! Turn it off! Throw it out!" etc... But maybe this time he's finally grown up and is ready for big boy soccer.

Agudelo needs to get married and have a child, then you will see a different player.

Lol what does that have to do with soccer... Donovan got married and had a child after he retired didn't seem to change his game.

I copy/pasted the roster changes and updated roster from the US Soccer announcement. They might have fixed it now but at the time they made no mention of Yedlin in their article. The source of confusion is likely a US Soccer intern.

So this game has a few of my favorite players in it: Paul Arriola and Jozy Altidore. Paul has something to prove tomorrow against New Zealand while Altidore needs to cement himself (even more than Bradley perhaps) in the starting XI as the guy we can't take out. The Hex is about to start and as long as he does his job, Jozy should be out there at CF. Boyd could maybe mount a challenge during the 2017/18 season, next year, leading up to Russia, but probably not any time soon. Back to Arriola, for me he is an impact sub type guy along with a few others. But he could definitely be the guy to come on for the workhorse Bedoya around the 70' of games and try to change them with his dynamism, that is if he plays his cards right.

Bedoya is so trash. We should be hoping and praying Arriola, Gyau, and Kiesewetter start getting 90' soon.

@hamsamwich - I'm kind of hoping that Gooch becomes a serious option at RM. He has the work rate and grit of a Bedoya, but is a bit faster and a shade more technical. With him and Pulisic on the wings our attack makes a significant upgrade. Arriola Green, & Zardes to be the super-sub type around the 70 min mark. Their speed going at tired defenders should be an effective tactic.
Nagbe, Bedoya, or Kljestan (Ordered in my personal preference) to be the central figure in the 4-1-3-2 formation. Nagbe & Bedoya have the athleticism and skills to be creative while not becoming a defensive liability. Gooch could also be used in this spot opening the wing position to either Green or Zardes.

We now have options at forward, midfield, center back, and keeper. What we are still missing are options at outside back. IMO this is the weakest spot on the team and needs to be addressed ASAP. Otherwise I'm confident with our player options.

I'll be one of the 12 people in the stands tonight. I hope we'll get to see Hamid, Arriola and Gooch.

Maybe because most people will be watching the Washington nationals vs Dodgers game

Doug McIntyre wrote that Juergen told a group of reporters that Hamid is now the sixth or seventh choice keeper. I don't get it.

Honestly, I don't like Hamid because he plays for United, I like United because they have Hamid. He's that good.
