The article on MLS Soccer seems a bit misleading. According to the article on Soccer By Ives, those teams regularly scout AZ, not specifically Jozy. Either way, those scouts are there and Jozy continues to impress. So there is that.

Jozy has definitely been an enigma during the Klinsmann regime...But you can't deny though with the right supporting cast and focus, Jozy will only get better.

Watching his AZ goals this year are no fluke, he can become the greatest US striker ever produced. Maybe I dare say, World Class.

in all likelihood those scouts are really there to see adam maher. 19 years old and already making his way into the dutch team, attacking midfielder who generates a lot of jozy's goals. that being said, a young striker scoring in bunches in the eredivisie will always catch eyes.

The question was asked by a fan specifically about Altidore. And Earnie Stewart replied. Ives is saying that it was a general question, but it wasn't. So....

I am not saying that those teams aren't scouting Maher, but it's highly unlikely due to the fact that Barcelona, Bayern, and Chelsea are already staked with AM's in their squads, so really it makes no sense for those clubs to be scouting Maher. Tottenham needs AM's, so I could understand why Tottenham may be there scouting Maher instead of Altidore.

If Jozy does move to a bigger league, when would you want him to leave? January or in the summer? Moving to a new bigger team is always a gamble with WCQ and the WC coming up

I am not saying that he will be bought because Jozy wants to stay at AZ. But I wouldn't be surprised to see him bought by a team from the Bundesliga or the EPL in the summer.

What did you guys think of Jozy's play Wednesday? I thought it was one of the best performances he's ever had with the USMNT. Great hold up play. He received the ball countless times w/ a defender on his back and laid it off. I never worry about the athleticism of US players (Jozy's got the size and speed). My question is usually about the technical ability - Jozy showed me on Wednesday that he's really improved.

Let's face it, the biggest weakness of Jozy's game was always his decision making. I always put it as having the "worst 2nd touch in football." As in, Berbatov has got the best 1st touch in football. Anyway, I saw a lot of decent passes from Jozy on Wednesday and that is an improvement.

I agree, he had a solid game. But I wouldnt say he has improved. Nor has he digressed. He's just another USMNT forward who doesnt get much service. I believe he had one through ball to him, from Fabian Johnson no less, and while he failed to control it, it was a difficult ball to bring down. We continue to fail at possessing the ball in our attacking thrid.

richie..... That's because we don't have a 10 nor do we have one in the player pool. Sure there are some in the U17-U19 range but we won't know if they will ever pan out and even if they do, they are quite a few years away from making an impact for the NT. I think we need Mix in the lineup as soon as possible, not that he is a pure 10 as he is a 8 but he has some capabilities of a 10. Ability to hold the ball in compacted space with defenders around, can make the killer pass, and the creativity...not to mention the good technical ability in finishing...which means he will normally keep stuff on frame, and at least give him a shot at scoring goals. As far as Altidore goes, he hustled more than he has in the past, was a little better in possession even though he still lost quite a few passes. Still needs a good bit of improvement.

What?? Are you for real? Im not saying he was awful, but if that was one of his best ever performances for the Nats then that is pretty sad.....

Top teams are always looking for the best young, emerging talent, regardless of whether or not they have an immediate need at the position. (See Chelsea-Lukaku) After his debacle at Villareal I find it highly unlikely that Barca actually be there to see Altidore.

I don't follow the other teams closely but I do follow Bayern very closely. Jozy would sit behind at least 4 other strikers at Bayern. My hunch is, it would be the same at the other clubs as well. Jozy is in a good place and I hope is able to stay at least another season with AZ.

I think AZ will fight against relegation, what is bad for Jozy.
