Next summers Gold Cup needs to be about ushering in the new young group of players with only a few vets. These guys need to get there feet wet in a senior competitive tournament.
Mexico will certainly field a younger second team because of participation in the CONFED cup in Russia.
Honduras and Costa Rica will be transitioning towards younger players this year.
I'd take out Brinbaum, Zimmerman, Bradley, Kitchen, and Rubin
Parker as in Shawn or Devante????? I'm still hoping we can snag Jeremy Toljan
I want to see Villafana and Vincent called into the next games.
Also waiting for the bomb to drop when Robert Kenedy says he was born in Miami... Didn't even make it on the olympic squad.

While I agree we need to begin integrating younger players we need to do it in an intelligent way that will help the team build towards the 2018 World Cup. A big determining factor is going to be how a many of the young players in Europe progress during the current season, and which players stand out during the next January Camp.
The team needs enough consistency to build off the chemistry we began during the 2015 Gold Cup and the beginning of the Hex while integrating players who can help transition the team. IMO the biggest question marks in the 23 are Hamid, Miazga, Kitchen, & Green. They'll need to be on point if they want to make the team.

Too early to post such a list for me...perhaps after Camp Cupcake. The pool of players with the same abilities have grown...we still need to make them better.
I have yet to see the likes of Trapp, Finlay, Pelosi, Lletget on any potential lists.
Another person who I believe could work his way into contention is Patrick Mullins. Now that he is getting minutes he looks quite good...it will be interesting to see if he can keep it up for a full season.

If I remember right the gold cup runs later into summer for the off year version. If that is true in 17 good chance it will be MLS heavy like the 2013 version was. I think the only euro based players were Gatt and Holden who both severely injured knees in the tourney/preperation. Gooch who was bouncing around Europe at the time, and Shae who JK had to do a little negotiating with Stoke to keep him after Gatt injury.

blaise, I believe Jeremy Toljan is now cap tied to Germany. He is playing well for their Olympic team right now. Anybody know for sure?

Olympics arent a cap tying event. Since he had US eligibility before he turned 21 he can still file a one time switch until he plays for Germany senior team in a WCQ or Euro match

For me I want to see this:
GK : Hamid, Horvath, Howard
Defense: Yedlin, Lichaj, Miazga, Birnbaum, Brooks, Zimmerman, Fabian
CM's: Bradley, Zelalem, Williams, Kitchen, Cameron
Attackers: ArJo, Morris, Wood, Green, Boyd, Pulisic, Rubin, Nagbe
Potentials: Parker, Gonzo, Vincent, Acosta, Zardes, Rosenberry, Chandler, Hyndman, Stanko, Altidore, Picault, Wright
