Looks to be an exciting season for our young yanks this season:

England

Hyndman, Zelalem, and CCV could all see first team minutes. Zelalem may get loaned out. Hyndman is injured, but hopefully recovers soon. CCV has started two games for Spurs in preseason. Looks to be knocking on the door for the first team.

Miazga looks to be a player Chelsea will loan out this season.

Yedlin has been used at LB in preseason. Should be interesting to see if that develops more for Spurs or maybe he gets loaned out again.

Ariyibi is garnering interest from some Championship teams.

Bundesliga:

Brooks is poised to be a rock again for Hertha this season.

Pulisic looks like either he will get minutes or possibly loaned out.

Green is making a hell of a lot of noise in preseason. Bayern really don't have a backup at striker for Lewandowski. Add to the fact Green can play multiple attacking positions and Ancelotti as well as Ribery, Martinez, and Alonso are all praising him it looks like Green will be a Bayern first team player this season.

Boyd is healthy and back to scoring goals for Leipzig in preseason. Should get plenty of first team minutes.

Wood looks poised to be a key player for Hamburg. It will be interesting to see what formation Hamburg use and where Wood lines up. I prefer to see him as s central striker.

Haji Wright may be this seasons Pulisic. Schalkes coaching staff really like him. Could see minutes this season at striker or wide fwd.

Johannsson is not back 100 % healthy. Hope to see him back on the field soon.

Gyau is probably going to have to leave Dortmund. I think Bradley's Le Havre could be a perfect destination.

Keisewetter looks poised to have a good season in the Bundesliga 2 team Fortuna Düsseldorf.

Picault had a good end to the year with St Pauli. Looks like he should pick up where he left off.

Russel Cannouse is knocking on the first team door at Hoffenheim.

Eredivisie:

Rubio Rubin is healthy and scoring goals for Utrecht during preseason. If healthy I see him having a good season.

Swiss Superleague:

Stanko was having a good preseason with Frieburg before being loaned to FC Vaduz. Looks like a good loan move for him to gain pro experience.

Norway:

Horvath is firmly the #1 at Molde. Won't be long before bigger clubs in bigger leagues start to come calling.

Gatt is still healing. Good luck to his continued perserverance through his multiple knee surgeries.

Portugal:

EPB is still with Porto 2, but he has really impressed. Could he see minutes for Porto this up coming season?

Could be a big year for young Americans in Europe.

Good list except canouse isn't knocking on the door at hoffenheim. They loaned him to a 2.bundes club. Hopefully he gets starters minutes and can make a push for hoff next year.

Also I would add de la torre looks like he's close to breaking through at Fulham as well

The kid I am interested in seeing is Wright. If he can break through and play some games with Shalkes it will elevate the perception of the US soccer system. While I think Miazga and EPB can help with that perception Wright can break that ceiling.

Obviously players will get loaned.. but if for some reason they don't.. Look at all the Champions League players we could have this year: Fabian, EPB, Yedlin, CCV, Zelalem, Green, Puli. Miazga next year.

Yes, Canouse is playing for Bochum in 2 bund. Overall the player I'm most excited to see is EPB and his progress at Porto. De la Torre at Fulham is a good shout, @msantoine.... I got another one: how about Josh Perez at Fiorentina??? Anyone know what's up with that?

Can't find any injury news but in preseason the slightest knock will keep you out. Perez hasn't played in fiorentinas last two friendlies, not sure if he even is with team. Will probably be a reserve team this year and look to break through or get loaned next year.

And how about Joel Sonora at Stuttgart? He's been playing with the first team.

Resembles di Maria. We still need a playmaker #10 type.

Payne isn't nearly the athlete Yedlin is, but his technique and IQ is worlds better.

Perez, like Wright, was playing at the U-19 level last year (age group behind the reserve teams). This is the same level that Pulisic was at when he joined BvB. Both Wright & Perez performed well enough last year in their 1/2 seasons that they should be getting looked at for the Reserve Teams this fall.....and if they perform well there then maybe they'll get a cameo or two in the spring of 2017.
Most players don't jump through the ranks as fast as Pulisic did over the past year. Usually there is more of an adjustment period (especially with 1st time pros).

Possibly the best player of all, and voted "most likely to wear the #10 shirt": villareal's Mukwelle Akale. We haven't actually seen much of him in a USA shirt yet, but his time will come. Good shout for ex-Boca player Joel Soñora, I think he's got a future too. Russia will be too soon perhaps for these guys but maybe not if they can force their coaches' hands... Two seasons to go before then, but realistically this is the year to make a move up the charts for anyone really. Akale is that attacker though.

Stanko went 90' in his first match with Vaduz. Just joining the team and still going 90' is a great sign for his playing time this year.
