I am down I know the Railhawks have some games in July and August for the fall schedule. Which part of durham do you live in South Downtown or North.

Hell yea, sounds like a plan. I think it's south Durham. Like 10min from downtown.

Born in Oklahoma City when my parents were in the Air Force (conceived in Germany). When they got out they moved to Central Florida (I was like 1). Grew up in Orlando mostly, when I graduated HS I went to FSU for school. After FSU I moved to Palm Beach County. Have lived here with my wife and kids since.

Hey all. I'm new here and this is my first soccer forum response. So here goes.
Born in Saudi Arabia to a Thai mother and American father (with German roots) who is born in Boston with Philly area connections. I'm a Thai-American dual national.
Been living in Bangkok, Thailand for almost my entire life, love and play soccer (along with several other sports) and support Thai and American National teams. A USA fan in particular because I've seen the team grow from relative pushovers to an internationally respected team through the years. Also a Philly sports fan.

family from central america, born in the shadows of Manhattan in Jersey, haven't left

used to catch pick up games on asphalt courts with a bouncing orange ball, now I see the kids play on those same courts with a football or futsal... incredible change

Welcome! Has Juergen called you yet? It sounds like you need to be cap tied.

Any chance you followed Nguyen's progress when he played in Vietnam? He joined PSV when I was living in Holland and I was excited about having another Yank in the Eredivisie. I didn't follow him in Denmark and then he popped up in Vietnam.

That was back in the golden days when Beasley and Nguyen were at PSV, Gibbs was at Feyenoord, O'Brien was at ADO den Haag, and Bradley and Rogers were at Heerenveen. Plus Kazkauskas was messing about in the lower divisions.

Did not follow him while he was in VN. Was hoping for him to have more prominent role in the USMNT as he is the 1st Vietnamese-American to play pro in major league.

Nope. I don't think there is a scouting network from US Soccer here in Southeast Asia. I'm a goalkeeper first and foremost and we're relatively fine at that position anyway.

Yeah you're right, it'll probably be difficult to surpass Jonathan Klinsmann in the pecking order. I hear he gets to have dinner with the coach all the time.

I'm in Los Angeles but grew up in northwestern Minnesota. Been here long enough to remember the Galaxy pre-Donovan and Arena. I have played since first grade and still play in a rec league in Santa Monica.

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, ladies and gentlemen, but Michael Orozco will start for the US men's national team in Jacksonville.
