Parents are Iranian (and Jewish), fled Iran during the Islamic Revolution due to escalating antisemitism, I was birthed as they arrived in New York. In my father's town in Iran, the Jews were pressured to not go out of their houses during rain storms because apparently Muslims felt that the dirt on the Jews would get on the Muslims. Yeah. But hey, the UN doesn't care about THAT kind of discrimination. It's not trendy.

Durham North Carolina best known for having Duke university. Didnt attend duke university family works there but have been to a number of duke basketball games. In terms of atmosphere duke basketball is pretty crazy especially against UNC. Came back to durham after college and stayed ever since. I do have a number of friends who live in DC area skangles we could meet up if I am visiting the area. In terms of soccer Carolina Railhawks are my local team. MLS is SKC since I have a large number of relatives in the kansas city area and have enjoyed a couple games there.

Send me a message next time you're in town. We can grab a beer.

Small world, Chillguy. I just moved to Durham from the DC area. Been to a few Railhawks games but I still go back home to DC to see United at least once a month. Lemme know if you ever wanna check out a Hawks game sometime.

Awesome, another Spurs fan! My dad lived in London for 4 years back in the 60's just a couple blocks from White Hart Lane. Last year I went back with him and saw them live for the first time, it was incredible! COYS!!

Birmingham, AL. Played college a little further south. We just got our first NPSL team. The Birmingham Hammers. Excited about Atlanta next season though. Plan on going to a few games. Only a 2 hour drive. Chelsea fan....unfortunately.
