Back in the revolutionary days, these people would be referred to as loyalists or Patriots called them "persons inimical to the liberties of America".

I would resign his US citizenship too !

F**k him !

He can go commiserate with Miguel Ponce (had completely forgotten about him). Does Chivas have the strictest one nationality only policy of any club? Bilbao comes to mind as another significant club that does this, but they've brought in guys who only have Basque great-grandparents and aren't from the region. It's not a policy I support in this day and age, but would rather clubs be able to do it and have the market sort it out.

Blaise and Jzaval y'all need to get off that bull with a quickness. He might not be playing for USYNT right now but how long is he going to be at Chivas? He's not declaring for El Tri either.

i think his decision will be opportunity based, Rossi never wanted to be a US international. Zendejas has options so he's going to mull them over.

I dont care about the level of player, MLS clubs should have a rule to not sell to Chivas...

Im actually ok with Chivas doing this. They are a private business. Its not like they lie about it and then the player is black balled. Zendejas, and many before him, know exactly what they are getting into. There are approximately 400 others clubs around the world he could have tried to go to instead of Chivas if he so chose. If playing for USA was important to him he would have refused to go there, MLS cant force a player to go to a specific club

@rey- I'm pretty sure Rossi said recently his career regret was not choosing USA, so he obviously thought about it. Chivas will give him a forum to show his talent.

Rossi didn't say anything. His agent did.

And that statement is an after the fact rueing of missing out on opportunities he had but never considered.

All of the interviews absolutely every single one, prior to being called for the Italian NMT was him saying that he will never represent the USA.

More power to him. Never impressed me much anyway. Not even close to the talent level of Pulisic, Wright, or Perez on the U17 team. I was utterly flummoxed he started all three group games at that WC. He was overmatched physically and technically by opposing players.

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, ladies and gentlemen, but Michael Orozco will start for the US men's national team in Jacksonville.
