The refugee crisis was the tipping point it showed the problem with the EU mass migration is fine in theory but not in practice. It hardened those who wanted out of the EU in Britain. The other sides arguments for staying by just saying doom and gloom werent enough. You cant win by just going negative you have to give them a reason to want to stay.

Good for the UK. EU has been on a downward spiral for 10 years.

This isnt just the end of UK in the EU. Its likely the end of the EU. Countries like England, Germany, France, Scandanavia, had strong economies that helped Spain, Greece, Italy, former USSR countries and kept them from complete and utter bankruptcy. With UK gone Im sure France and Germany will follow, then the other storng economies, and then the EU will desolve. It may be a smart move for UK as a whole but its going to really hurt those left behind.

Its almost like what would happen to the USA if New York, Texas, & California all decided to leave and be their own countries? The US economy would plummet. This is essentially what UK has done to Europe

California is like Greece. Terribly managed and bankrupt. If they left the USA, it would help the USA. lol. Texas would really hurt if they left.

If New York and Cali left the country would be far better off. Coming from somebody in Diego.

California and New York combine to bring in about 20% of the countries revenue. Even with the mismanagement California is still in the top half if sorting by revenue to spending ratios

Naw if the deep south left, the country would be a hell of alot better. States like Cali and New York send more money to the federal government than they receive back. States from the deep south get more money from Fed than they send to the fed. In otherwords, most liberal states subsidized the most conservative states!

that is correct, yall don't have as much dead weight in the North as we do in the south east region. There's a lot of government funding being thrown around down here without proper checks and balance. We are basically the poop shoot of this great country (literally the Mississippi River empties everyone else's waste into the gulf through Louisiana)

North Carolina checking in we arent the deep south although our governor is taking us for a trip there. But we arent the north either. In terms of our contributions we are in the middle. RDU, charlotte college towns beach mountains and then the hills have eyes for the rest of the state it seems. Anyways Cali has been poorly mismanaged but even then I think most people on this board pick cali over nc all day. Southern born and bred but man its been a rough year for this state.

Mismanaged in the past under Davis and Arnold sure but under Jerry Brown he has brought them into a surplus. His second term has been great in many ways and glad they didn't elect Whitman.

Brown has been good my worry is the looming pension crisis. If he can fix that as well I would write him in for president.

Brown has made the pension situation worse as he has used the pension to cover the debt. The pension debt is conservatively around $700 billion in the red but when you calculate it like private companies do it is closer to $2 trillion. Brown has also forced out several comapnies who have moved out of state.
