I am not sure you can put Cameron in ink along that back line. He will be 32/33 and you have 4 CB'S who will start pushing him. EPB, CCV, Birnbaum, and Miazga between now and 2018 will all have significant time to make a push into the starting eleven. For the next round of qualifying he is in ink, but as the hex moves forward I see him being phased out.

Neither EPB nor CCV are ready to push any USMNT CB. Neither are first team players.

The more likely are: Parker, Birnbaum, Miazga, and Tommy Redding

I agree. However, there is still a long time between now and 2018. Based on reports of EPB'S performance would not shock me to see Porto or another club try to take him. Would also suspect CCV could be loaned out this year. I maybe hyping them a bit but I can see them make a push for 2018. Doubt anybody saw in 2012 Brooks or Green making the 2014 WC and scoring goals in their apearance. A lot can happen between now and then

I guess everyone is declaring Zardes a "winner" because he hasn't sucked as bad as he usually does. But that's a pretty low bar guys. No doubt JK will use the same logic and keep him as a lock starter for the next 2 years.

Loser:
Jozy
Mainly because Wood & Dempsey were winners. Maybe, just maybe Jozy won't be a lock starter every time he's available.

Guzan didn't win or lose. He played fairly well, not great. Guzan doesn't deserve most of the blame for the 1st Argentina goal but he deserves a little bit as he was in no man's land when he should have had time to react with that floater pass. And I'd fault Guzan a little on the free kick. Not an easy save but some keepers would have gotten it. So, he's not a winner because he could have basically shut the door on Howard for the next 12 months with a flawless performance.

Big Loser: The Camera & Production crew. They've been horrible all tournament. They have been more interested in player close-ups and scantly clad women than the games.

The scantly clad/beautiful women shots are fine by me. Fox should hire this WC 2014 camera guy. What an eye!

Yeah zoom in prefect timing to beautiful smile. Biggest winner, if he can keep some things simple and stop trying to invent, Klinsmann.

How would you rate (1-5 stars) the US Players through this tournament???

Guzan (3.5)
Yedlin (3) - Showed improvement, but still needs to work on passing & crossing.
Cameron (4) - Solid. Worked well w/ Brooks.
Brooks (5) - Class of the team. Really stepped up.
Fabian (4) - Smart, gritty, & versatile. Remains one of our best players.
Bradley (3) - Didn't do as well as would have liked, but wasn't bad either.
Jones (4) - Remains the heart of the team. Hustle & drive.
Bedoya (3.75) - Much more comfortable tucked in.
Zardes (3.5) - Tons of hustle, improved 1st touch
Wood (4) - Impressed, but needs to work on emotional control (retaliation).
Dempsey (4) - Usual self. Still our best finisher.
Besler (3.75) - Showed well as backup & starter.
Birnbaum (3.5) - Continues to impress as a backup.
Zusi (3) - Didn't hurt himself or help himself.
Pulisic (3) - Needed more on field time, but showed flashes
Nagbe (3) - Needed more on field time, but showed flashes
Howard (3) - Solid. Didn't hurt himself or help himself.
Orozco (2) - Played OK, but bone headed retaliation dropped him.
Beckerman (1) - DONE! No reason to bring him in anymore!
Wondo (1) - DONE! No reason to bring him in anymore!
Castillo (0) - DONE! No reason to bring him in anymore! When 2 center backs are used in your place you obviously can't cut it.

Looks good to me Dave. I may bump Yedlin up to 3.5. I guess the rationale of,keeping him at 3 would be the red card.

Yedlin was good. But he needs to get better at maintaining possession. He hoofed it so many times up field when there wasn't an open man. I'm not saying he should be Lahm back there but he should work on that.
