Overall you have to be pleased with the overall place but sad that we didn't show better in our loss to Arg. We were going to lose. I am a JK supporter to some extent. I would have loved to have morris on the roster and williams.

The lineup stunk against Arg but J.k didn't play, the players all laid eggs.

Tonight, I thought they played well, the outplayed Columbia. I thought Bardes played well, better than Bedoya.

Bradley is good except when he plays against top 15 teams. He played well tonight.

Woods better start over Jozy.

Morris needs to be included.

How about that tackle from Pulisic, he constantly took on players was in the right spot, he needed to play more, same with Nagbe.

Kitchen, who knows, he should have played bc at this point.

Beckerman, wondo, orozco, zusi should be done. I can see j.k bringing in Zusi but we need the young guns to take over.

Wood Morriss
Johnson Nagbe Bradley Pulisic

Besler Brooks Cameron Yedlin

Subs: Jermain, Dempsey in the 60th min, kitchen, Agudelo,
Stoked

No one expected a fourth place spot in copa. Yea you have to be happy especially since your rival, Mexico got ripped apart in the quarter finals. The result was there, no shame in being below Argenina, Chile (copa champs) and losing 1-0 to colombia all top 5 teams in rankings. Thats fine based on results, we beat the team that we should have beaten.

In saying all this, we should always demand more. Thats how we progress that how we will become better. If Brazil, Spain, Italy lose in lets say the first K.O of the world cup even if they dominated and lose by luck, they will be criticized hard. We need to get to that level at some point. We need to be harsher on player striving for more. Bradley coming to MLS (while i do understand the money he got was crazy) hurt his abilities, when he could have been a Champions League player. I love MLS I have my team that i support but the reality is we as a league arent their yet that just reality.

We dont have options because Jurgen doesnt use the ones we do have...

Gyau injury unfortunate, idk about gatt was never proven...

Lletget, F.Johnson, Pulisic, Finlay heck use nagbe if you dont trust him on the central midfield.

heck if you want to go younger go to Green, Arriola, Arriyibi

I am not sold on Lletget. To me he is a more muscular slower version of Bedoya. This tournament could have really been a coming put party for Gyau as well as Brooks and Yedlin.

Fire that dumb mother f**ker Klinsmann!

Who the hell wants to wait another 2 years for us to get out the group and then get bounced out the quarters ????

Subs used were only 2? WTF ? I don't get it ?

When Nagbe was brought in, he had limited touches but there was a really good one touch passing sequence at the top of the box. We could see this type of shit all the time with players like Nagbe, Nguyen, Pulisic, Villafana, Johannson, Saief, all on the pitch.......

Klinsmann has severely handicapped our team with his bullshit!

And when was the last time Honduras or Guatemala made it to the round of 16 of the World Cup? When was the last time either qualified for three out of four World Cups...in CONMEBOL (and as you stated, the US would not qualify for the World Cup if it was in CONMEBOL). When was the last time we had a player anywhere near the caliber of Valencia or Montero? Paraguay is better than we are, too. The fact is that making the semi-finals was an accomplishment and the tournament was a success. People like you though didn't even enjoy it because you're more into your own personal crusades against the manager than actually supporting the team.

Honestly, who would even succeed Klinsmann. I don't think Bradley and Arena would take the job. We would get who then? That next person could very well be worse than Jurgen. Our youth coaches are NOT good, so bumping them up would not be ideal to me.

Fabian better than Valencia and Montero with club. Dempsey was better than those two too. I think we are better than Ecuador and Paraguay. I always have wanted Lavolpe. That's not one of the highest profile coaches.

I'd go after Barros Schelotto in 2018. He's one of the better young managers out there and he understands soccer in the US from his time with the Crew. I'm not sure that we could entice him to leave Boca Juniors but I would try.

I love how people get pissed at jk for doing things that failed but continually call for Bradley or arena to be the coach. That has already been tried and didn't work.

A very, very sensible comment. Neither would have reason to come back and we would have no reason to hire them. The idea is to try to move the program forward, even if that means the occasional failed hire (and whatever you think of Klinsmann, it was time for us to try and go for a foreign manager...and he was the only one that had been living in the US for decades).

What's going to happen is that people will celebrate like crazy when we get a new manager in 2018 but after watching for a while they'll see that he keeps picking different lineups than the ones they use in FIFA and they'll start going apeshit again. In all likelihood it'll be an MLS manager, and unless it's Berhalter, that'll mean a return to the route one soccer that characterized the Coach Bob years. But not that any of these people will notice. After maybe about four to five cycles of constantly watching our managers pick different lineups than the ones they'd use if they were manager, they'll finally start to understand that there's nothing they can do about it, and that their opinions on the matter aren't really relevant. Maybe they'll cool off. Luckily, it doesn't matter.

Are you fucking kidding? Do you honestly think Dempsey would have been a Manchester United regular for years? And he never was as dangerous as Montero is.

La Volpe doesn't speak a word of English. You and adms are always proposing these half-decent Latin American managers that have no experience outside of Latin America. That's just not going to fly. The American public will not accept a non-English speaking manager. And of course none of those managers would have any idea how to coach such a technically deficient group of players.

Ecuador is ranked 13th (down from 12th last year). I know the FIFA rankings don't mean much, but both Paraguay and Ecuador are at least as good as us. That's indisputable. And Ecuador is definitely better. The Copa was a success; few thought we could even make the semi-finals. There's no way to spin it.
