We get another extra day advantage, but I have a hard time believing we'll win this one. Chile and Columbia still a big cut above us.
The usual suspects will piss their pants and overreact that we end the tournament on 2 bad losses. Everyone will advocate the extremes, but they don't apply here to the overall tournament results - it will have been a good tournament for us. Not great, just good.
It will be very interesting to see how/if JK phases out some of these older guys, many of whom performed well in this tournament IMO.

Depends on who we put out there... I expect a lineup like this:
Zardes and Wood up top
Pulisic, Nagbe and Bedoya
Kitchen
Castillo Brooks Birnbaum Yedlin
Howard

Lineup will be exactly what it was before. Question is will Nagbe and Pulisic get second half, I think so. Should be interesting.

Why do you say you expect this when you know this has no chance of happening?

I expect Howard to get the game as well. Could very well be his last competitive game.
I also think, dont expect but think, that Pulisic and Nagbe should both be in their instead of Jones & Zardes (let Dempsey start to try to get another goal or two).
Lastly I would expect Fab to also be out of the lineup as he seems to like the rest more than not and it is a pretty meaningless game. Lineup I would use:
Wood-Dempsey-Pulisic
Bedoya-Nagbe-Bradley
Besler-Brooks-Cam-Yedlin
Howard

Not sure we will see this but would like to see this:
Wood, Zardes
Bedoya Nagbe Kitchen Pulisic
Johnson Brooks Birnbaum Yedlin
Horvath
I would like to see how a younger lineup would look out there.

Jones can play next game. It's only a one game suspension.
For me I just hope howard gets his last game to start and this be his swansong. Castillo and kitchen coming on as subs to say they played in the copa centenario would be a nice gesture for all their hard work in training. Plus I would rather see kitchen and castillo getting some sub time then a wondo or beckerman.

Oh ok. Swear I read multiple outlets that said it was a 2 game suspension.

After picking up the red card, I thought I heard them say on the broadcast that he'd subsequently miss the rest of the tournament as well. Hopefully that isn't the case.
I don't know what Sunil Gulati is doing here? He didn't put Juergen on the hot seat after the failed Gold Cup, the failed Concacaf Cup or the loss to Guatemala in WCQ but now he's trying to portray that he's going to evaluate Juergen after the third place game in a successful tournament?
I'm not buying it one little iota. If this is true somebody needs to evaluate Gulati's decisions to evaluate.
