@Msantoine - hopefully the early rumors of a larger camp is accurate. Considering a number of our regulars (Jones, Bradley, Dempsey) are either suspended or out due to medical there are a too many unknowns to limit the squad to 23 players.
If there are close to 30 players called up we'll hopefully see a number of the younger players (Gooch, Green, etc...) & those returning to health (Johannsson, Rubin, etc...) get brought in for evaluation.

I like this. Unless I am remembering incorrectly, Jurgen rarely calls up players in situations like this who have not been in camp before, so might as well bring the guys that have started the season well. If nothing else it will serve as an introduction to the senior national team setup, and if they continue playing well with their clubs, they can integrate themselves seamlessly as we inch closer to the hex.

As long as Wondo isn't on the roster I'm okay with everything else.

Why Wondo is involved at all after the Copa is beyond me. Give a shot to a young guy like Gooch or someone just to give them time around the team and training with them.

Regarding Gooch- Jürgen brought players like Rubin, Stanko and Arriola. Leaving Gooch behind was either to keep him in the first team or another real reason. Jürgen has seen the performances, and that bringing the young guy in thing is his m.o...

As for Wondo- Dempsey and Zardes aren't involved so he probably wouldn't be. But just to have him practice with Morris, Rubin and the defenders is beneficial. Get over it. He played one game at the Copa where we were dominated by Argentina. Wondo can score vs St V&G or T&T that's a fact.

Good lord Wondo again. I don't get it.

Good to see Stanko and Arriola. Figured Beckerman would still get called in.

Good roster. Would still like to see Green added again at some point.

This team has more than enough talent to win both games.

One guy I want to see in the future is Sean Davis from NYRB. Considering CM looks to be our weakest area going forward. LB has always been weak. Personally I think Taylor Kemp should definitely get a look for LB.

Yeah I think the Besler at LB experiment will continue in one of these games.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the Guatemala-T&T game as we could easily secure qualification in game 1, and then be able to field whatever lineup we choose to experiment in game 2 at home v T&T... I would love to see Jürgen deploy a lineup like @stoked just posted in that second game, except with Bradley and Bedoya where you have Beckerman and Nagbe respectively.

I'm going to give it a pass and assume if Dempsey wasn't having heart attacks then he would be in over Wondo.. Or that's what I'm going to think to make me feel better.
