I'm not a SK hater either, I'm of the variety that I like to see ALL Nats succeed. But I'm also realistic and thinking that 1 game against T&T answers the question for good and proves one side wrong and the other side right...Is just folly.

Sure it starts to tilt the argument in favor of SK, but realistically it's not much of a tilt as it wasnt much of an opponent.

MSantoine is right as well. DEAD ON right. How much better would those guys have looked with Pulisic out wide as opposed to Zardes and/or Zusi?

Heck look at how much better Nagbe has looked when he has played with Pulisic as opposed to others? Or even how much better even Bradley looked when Fabian was in that position as opposed to others. Who you are playing with makes a big difference in how good you look.

I don't care how technically proficient you are and what kind of positions you put yourself in, if you have crap teammates, you'll still look crappy. Knowing when to place a pass and seeing a teammate streaking into an open dangerous area is impossible if you don't have someone to pass it to, or don't have a teammate getting into an open dangerous area.

That T&T game which featured Pulisic (who is clearly miles ahead of anyone else on our roster in terms of playing the "Beautiful" game), the best version of Altidore (which anyone who follows knows there is 2 widely different Altidores he can be VERY good, and VERY bad), and an in-form Wood (which when paired with that Altidore is as deadly a combo as we have ever had up front in attack). Then you add in the 2nd half another very technically proficient guy in Arriola, against a weak opponent. You are talking about the best possible conditions for success for a 10.

It's a lot easier to pull strings from the #10, when you actually have strings to pull.

The only way the question could have been answered was if SK had absolutely stunk. You give him every opportunity and best possible chance of succeeding and he still stinks, then you know the kid just isn't good enough. He didn't stink though and played well. Which absolutely is a great thing, and absolutely deserves more looks. I hope he gets them.

Can we get a glimmer of Bradley, Nagbe JK with Puli altidore wood or morris up top?

please no Bradley/kljestan pairing. It will be worse than the jones/Bradley pairing

Kljestan was good during the last two games but he won't do shit vs teams like Mexico or at away games vs Honduras and Costa Rica.... Just like Bradley won't either!

Bradley should partner Bedoya in the 4-4-2. With Pulisic and Fabian on the outsides. Jozy/Wood up top. Brooks/Cameron in the middle. Yedlin right and (Besler/Acosta) left. Pick your keeper because Howard is more vocal but limited physically and a bit awkward these days moving around while Guzan is prone to indecision.

Players like Jones (more bite), Sasha (attacking), Morris (attacking), Birnbaum and Kitchen (protect lead) still have roles.

I'd like to see JK experiment with Morris in the Gyasi outside mid role in the short term...gets him on the field. If it didn't look half bad, which it shouldn't. You could play Pulisic ahead of Bradley instead of Bedoya...Death line up... flank speed and Puli pulling the strings...floating in the channels or out wide...creating overloads and havoc.

Top six.

..........Wood........
...................Jozy....
............Puli..........
Fab......................Morris
.............MB.................

The good news is we have players who took their chances well. Yes, the competition was not great, but the players could have laid an egg when they were on the pitch.

Puli-kid looks like a star, the cool thing is he takes people on with technical skill and speed, not just speed and has good soccer iq and a good motor

Sk-good for him, he certainly didn't hurt himself, I am not saying he should be an auto into the 11 but he should certainly be called into camps, and should be given extended looks vs better teams in friendlies or when hopefully we have 4 or 6 points.

I differ than some people. I like the idea of Jozy but to me we look stagnant with Jozy not the pitch, the pace slows down, yes he draws fouls and holds the ball but at times that comes at the price of slowing the game too much -yes he can be really good, but how many times have we seen a very bad jozy or injured Jozy. I would like him to be a guy to come in when we have a lead and we are bunkered down and we need someone to hold the ball up top when we inevitably boot it.

It would be great to see:

1. Wood and Morris (or AJ ) pairing-morris and wood run, they are technical and can finish but they make good runs which opens play for others-

2. Puli needs to be on the field, sure we should not put to much pressure on him, but he was the best player on the field in both games

3. I am a bradley guy but once we get 4 points or 6-we need to test out other players. since coming back to mls he hasn't looked like the old bradley. We need to see who else can step into his shoes

4. Nagbe and SK need to see time against good teams.

5. Bedoya needs to be a guy who comes on to help close out a game not sure he is a starter.

I like the depth that is starting, now we need those fringe player to get playing time in friendlies and hex once we are secure. hope we start off well as that will really help us build real depth heading into 2018.

Hey guys, wait... Brooks was left off the roster right? What was the final word on that? I mean he was neither hurt (played that weekend) nor did he get transfered. That doesn't preclude the possibility of either, just weird, no? THANK YOU CHRISTIAN PULISIC! Totally took m y mind off of this

Just another data point that JK is a little dickish and unfair. Not that I care too much. He doesn't owe me anything. Except results I guess.

I don't know why everyone isn't more honest about club commitments and giving guys rest. These guys' bodies are run into the ground. . .

So we don't have a final word on it and it's Klinsmann's fault? Okay then

Pretty sure he said Brooks had back stiffness. It was probably right not to risk him in games we won 10-0 combined, as he could've aggravated something like that and been out for a while, when we just really need him v Mexico and Costa Rica. Brooks and Cameron are the starters at CB for those two games unless something crazy happens.

Regarding Brooks it looks like he is not healthy after all. Yes he just went 90' in his first game back, but reports are saying he's going to miss this weekend and possibly more time. Sounds like he really had a muscle injury and Jurgen smartly didnt want to risk him hurting it further, Berlin on the other hand wasnt so smart and may be without him for some time. Hopefully he doesnt miss to much time as we need him more than anyone in November.
