How true is that? Heard it right now on the MLS game that Vickers was holding out for England. It's cool cause we have EPB and others that can come up. Plus Brooks has like 10 years to go as well as Matty Mia

Plus I think it is important with such a large camp for somebody to beat them out. Have that passing of the torch in camp, if these kids can't beat them out it says more about our depth than Klinnsmans decisions.

On Gooch he sees the depth in midfield. May want to hold out for Ireland, apparently CCV is holding out for England.

Where are you hearing that CCV is holding out for England? He's been a part of the US set-up for a fairly long time now, and having represented us during competitive tournaments he'd need to file a 1 time switch before he could possible suit up for the 3 lions.

During the Portland/Seattle game they were discussing the call ups. Mentioned that it is being reported that CCV wants to see if England has any interest before committing to the US senior team and that is why he was not included. Based on that I would assume he turned down the call up, which maybe the reason a player like Gonzo was included.

I would not be surprised if Gooch did samething as the midfield depth is beginning to strengthen at lower levels.

I think this CCV holding out for England rumors is being blown out of porportion from a quote that was taken the wrong way. Someone asked him if he would ever represent England at the national level. His response was something along the lines of since I grew up in England I've always thought it would be cool to represent them. Kind of just giving an English news article the sound bite they want to hear so they dont write negative stuff about him.

Maybe he wasnt called in because he's played 0 minutes of professional soccer in his career. That could have more to do with no call up then the other thing.

Doesn't really make sense to me why Gooch doesn't get the callup here...I understand JK always goes with veteran squads for these high stakes qualifiers but damn. I just want to see some young guys see what they can do for an extended period of time.

Has there been a time when there was an youth coach who didn't rate a player. Then Jurgen calls in player for a cap?

If Gooch wasn't called in by Tab, I would hope that it wasn't a systematic blacklist.

Great that Sacha has been called in, massive blow if Brooks isn't going to play.

It would be fun if there would one day be a press release

"Such and Such player, was sent back because we found out he was out of form."

Interesting that Brooks went the full 90 this past weekend (and looked great from what I saw), but then can't play in the qualifiers.

If I where him, I would do same thing. With the FA rule change forcing teams to carry more English players, and watching what guys like Sterling got from Man City he would be stupid not to wait out an England call up. The different of pay at club level based on who you represent is awfully tempting. Plus, JK has called in several guys prior to having an ounce of professional/1st team minutes. Morris and Green are two at the tip of the tongue. And as I type Vincent is another.

Brooks ruled out so to replace that roster spot, lets call Sacha!!

I think Sacha is one of the better fits to replace Dempsey in that support forward role and deserves a look given how great he's been for NY but I'm still baffled by JK's logic on this roster adjustment...

That explains the inclusion of Gonzo and depth at CB. Jk is probably looking for a blow out. Get that goal differential to be even or past T&T so that a victory against T&T gives the USMNT the group lead. Plus, I believe that gives the USMNT the November game at home against Mexico.
